The Prices of the NPCs - Die Preise der NPCs

Post by Nitram »

English below

Mir sind bereit viele klagen von einzelnen ( ;) ) gekommen, dass die Preise die die NPC's verlangen und zahlen nicht gerade den Idealmaß und dem Momentanen Marktgeschehen von Illarion entsprechen.

Da ich reichlich wenig Ahnung von den Momentanen Preisen habe und es auch keine SMACC Liste mehr gibt, an der ich mich orientieren könnte. Wende ich mich auf diesem Wege einmal an die Spieler.

Es gibt genug von denen die viel Erfahrung in ihren Berufen haben und wissen zu welchen Preisen sie ein und verkaufen können.

So bitte ich nun darum, jeden der die Zeit aufbringen will, mir einmal via PN eine Liste der Ein und Verkaufspreise zukommen zu lassen. Damit ich einmal sehen, wie man die NPC's etwas angleichen kann.

Ich bitte aber darum zu bedenken, dass er Einkaufspreis von NPC's IMMER um min. 15% unter dem Verkaufspreis liegen sollte. Wenn nicht so gar nicht mehr.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I got many complaints from single ones ( ;) ) about, the prices the NPC's pay and want. This prices seem to doesn't fir very well to the current market situation of Illarion.
Sadly i have nearly no idea from the market prices of the different wares, and there is no more SMACC list, i can look at. So i ask the players in this matter.
There are enought craftmans how know the prices they can sell und buy for.
So i ask everyone who has the time to do this, to send me a liste via pm of the wares and the prices you would buy and sell them for.
But please remember that the selling price should be around 15% higher then the buying price.
50% sind definitiv in Ordnung. Reicht völlig.
Das Hauptproblem der NPCs im Moment ist es wohl eher, daß sie momentan einige Items gar nicht kaufen (kann sein daß sie einfach die falschen Namen benutzen. Ich habe sogar versucht an den Halbling in Greenbriar Karotten zu verkaufen, keine Chance *g*) Und diejenigen Händler, an die man verkaufbare Sachen verkaufen kann, einfach mal nie Geld haben, wenn man da ist (und wenn, dann nur ein paar Kupferstücke).
Another thing that is of concern is the names of the items. When you click an item in the menu, the name should be sensible and the NPC should buy or sell that item based on that name. Take as an example, the dwarf in the tavern. I only know how to buy mugs of beer from him, and that's only from watching other people buy from him.
While to buy that mug of beer I must say that I want to buy 1 beer mug, the menu says "beer mug, voll" (and yes, it says "voll" in a client set to English) and instead the empty mug says "beer mug." The other examples are even worse. I have no idea how to buy bottles of beer from the merchant.
Admittedly the prices of the NPCs aren't the real problem.
The problem is that the NPCs have too less money. It's impossible currently to walk to any NPC and to sell there something, no matter what. Because they are always out of money.
It's a kind of race who can get a NPC blank first, when the coppers are reloaded, because otherwise you have no chance at all.
Furthermore I have a problem with getting the information I want to. Maybe I'm just plain stupid, but I'm not able to get the price for a certain item when I ask him on german. What's the german trigger?
I try to ask in english most of the time, which actually works - but only then when you know the correct english item name.
Also, ... Maybe it's just me as well, but some NPCs are not buying those things they actually said they buy.
Like the dwarf in the tavern.
Edit:
We should change
everyone here is right.
for the third time in two days I walked the long way to the npc buying harps and lutes. every time the npc had not even money for a single lute! I tried it at 1 pm, at 5 pm, and once at 9 pm. WHEN shall I try it to sell something to him? Every time it is a long, boring walk which ends in frustration.
indeed. why do they have such limited copper supplies? Other than that I have an issue with trying to figure out what things are named. I had been dropping the large metal shields found on the skeleton until someone told me that you could sell then, which I had tried and failed to do, so long as you called them advanced shields. This didn't even make sense as I had never even heard the term advanced shield before.
Idea :idea: You can only gain so many copper from any npc. Theres no limit except per person. 1000 copper a day, that any one person can gain from any number of npc's. This solves all problems except the supply. I think npcs need to restock more of an item the faster it sells out before next restock. You stock more of what people want and less what people don't want. Only problem is, these things might not be possible. :?
that is a lot of calculation isn't it? But it would either have to be infinite or change with the growth in popularity of the item and the game itself.
I've thought about the same already. That maybe one person can only make a limited amount of copper per day.
hm....
this is hard, because i can't hand values over between the script
Server and database changes would be needed.
