(@PeaceKeeper: How is telling the people of the guild council to stop arguing with you not roleplaying?

I think you're still confused about what the term roleplaying means. Oh wait silly me! I forgot how good you roleplay a medieval woman when you talk like "Hey man! WTF!?? Cool! What's up dude? I'm so strong so everyone should listen to my opinion!" )

@Everyone: Just stop arguing with him,...
needless to say, even if you have only one eye, you'd notice my avitar.  What's it look like to you DY?  I think it looks like a female human...  you?    Many knows the fact that I'm male in RL, but geesh, RP a bit eh?

As for Andrew, sorry, I don't die against demons unless I wear no shield...  Demons are like my friend.  If you ask around, you'll hear one of the few true rumors around about me.  Yes, I do dance with them for fun every now and then...  As for the part about eating me, we'll see who get the last laugh next time I see you mindlessly wondering around the place

One suggestion... For representing the public you SHOULD NOT be a member any guild or a teacher at one of the schools.  That would mean that there would be less members and people would think more before joining a guild which is probably a good thing.

(Oh yeah that's right! How could i forget that Peace Keeper is a medieval female human when you've roleplayed her so well, talking like "Hey man! WTF!?? Cool! What's up dude? I'm so strong so everyone should listen to my opinion!" )

@Peace Keeper:
Then why make a female character?  And yes, i have noticed that you usually do add the words "..., dude" or "dude,...".  If you find it so hard to roleplay, why not just make a male char, and i am sure it would be easier.

There is no way anyone can break in once Lantha seals everything off.

the guild council needs a few guild-independent secretairs to help them doing their work. The could do thinks like announcing meetings to guild leaders, organizing the public-resprenter vote, organizing the meetings themself, getting tables and stuff, representing the council towards the police forces and so on...
they could just take care about all that burocratic stuff..

Sure, these three representatives of the public should not be members of any guild. At least not of an official guild that has a seat in the council already, nor to sub-groups of these.

((give me a time, and I'll be in there...   trust me on that, as for RPing part, I do rp with funny terms I guess...  ok, I'll cut down on the "dude" usage... as for the char part, I used it because it looks much more nicely done the the male char image...  and when I signed up for this one, there was an obsessive amount of male chars also...))

errrr.. I need 2 more students to get my seat  .

Now, back to the topic of this board (Ok, some of you were on topic here...).  We do need a person(s) to represent the town, instead of a guild, but who do we have that has been here for a while and is not a member of a guild?

Do we really need public induviduals in the council?
induviduals represent only their ideas...
groups, support a majority, and would best represent the ideology of the people...
an induvidual, should start his/her guild or something... if its too radical from other guilds ideeology...
It would also be more organized with only guilds...

by the way, i think we have more then 6 active members... i was just misinformed when i wrote my last post...

I agree with the words of Leif.
If we should have individuals as representive of people, who aren't in a guild, than, these should be elected from the inhabitants of Troll's Bane, who arn't in a guild, to represent them.
So they are trustworthy and won't only represent their own ideas. Cause, they want to be elected the next time ageain.

bleh, yeg kel...  does that mean I can kill you guys since you casted in town?  beware, there's nothing the Gods can do about it because it's our rule instead of theirs...

((Also, if I'm not mistaken, what I can do is even if I'm stuck, I can still talk from another char at one level below and still get the same effect as I'm talking...))

and that is not possible in illarion, as people can have several bodies...
we need do have a working feudualistic rule...
as in the guild-rule
( example of feudualism... king arthur and the round table)

ooc: democracy does not work when everyone can create a new char and vote... :ooc

We need a courthouse, and we might need to write down the rules we decide on...

might i come and over-hear the next council? im sure caranthir would like his seat... i dont blame him... but 1 seat is all we have, can i still come and watch? if im quiet?

I don't think we should get individual representitives either. After all this is just the Guild Council not the Town Council so lets not get too hasty and try to represent the entire town before we've finished setting things up for the Guild Council. The rest of the population that are not in guilds is too big to be represented by only a few members of the public anyways.

Also we need to finish verifying which guilds qualify for a seat. As it is right now we can only guess that a guild qualifies by the member list of each guild. But we don't know the 1. activeness of its members, 2. whether the characters are from different players, and 3. how long the guild has been formed.

Only Bror can check for these things so it might take a while before he can do all this for us.
For 1. The activeness, it can be that each counting member should have played at least 20 hours or so and have logged in at least once in the last 1 or 2 months?
For 3. How long the guild has been officially formed can be determined by how long their guild has been in the links section of this official Illarion webpage.

I think this is the best way to qualify members as active and verify how long a guild has existed, unless someone has a better idea that's more accurate and still simple enough not to give Bror a headache.

i think the ironhammers should be represented anyway...
we have a long history, with varied member numbers....
but we always had some power...
and im sure most guilds represented would agree on that....
right?
