Guild Council Meeting - Let's review the outcome

Post by Lord Chaos »

Basically what happened at the meeting is this:

- It was decided that there will be a list of lawbreakers who are exiled from the town.

- It was decided that there will be judges who have the power to put somebody on the list.  A few chosen candidates were Korwin, Galadria, Dyluck, Aragon, Damien (he said yes already), and i forget the rest somebody please help me here :)  We need conformation from these people.

- It was decided that the Guild Council will have a website.

- The requirements for a seat in the council are as follows:

      - For a Guild or Clan:
           - 1 seat requires at least 6 members and 1 month old
           - 2 seats requires at least 12 members and 2 months old

      - For a School:
           - 1 seat requires at least 12 students, 3 teachers, and 1 month old
           - 2 seats requires at least 24 students, 6 teachers, and 2 months old

       - All Guilds that meet the requirements (even if they are "evil" ) have the right to 1 or 2 seats (specified above), as long as they behave.  If a guild member loses a seat, all the seats from that guild will be revoked and the guild cannot attend the meetings for one month.

That was what was decided at the meeting.  The Guild Council site should be made soon.

These are the guilds with seats that i know of:

 - Order of the Grey Light (2)
 - Knights of the Grey Rose (2)
 - Magic Academy (2)
 - Ironhammers (1)
 - Titans (1)
 - Ranger Guild (1)
 - School of Combat (1)

These are all the elidgable guilds i could find in the links section.  If there are some i missed, leaders please post here.

People that are selected as the judges will also get seats.

Titans are inactive as far as i know.
I will later send to each guild a document of the "exile" policy that I have written up.

Also let us find a time for the next meeting not too far in the future.

@ LC
Why would Sean allready have a seat, if his guild has not enough members?
We haven't discussed this yesterday, only the rules, you've posted above.

bleh, and where's my seat?  I'm in with or without permission as you all probably would've guessed...  why not make it easy on yourself and safe the problem of me breaking into the meetings all the time?

@ Peace-Keeper
The seats are dedicated to guilds and not to special persons. So if the rangers will send you as their man / woman, you were in the meeting.
And we also said, that the persons, which the guilds will send to the council, refering to their seatnumbers, can change from meeting to meeting.
But for a better working, it will be better, if always the same people will be send to the councilmeetings.

The Guild Council was sean's idea and all, so i think that he deserves a seat there.  We discussed the requirements and the "list".  Sir Hope has said that he will represent the Rangers in the meeting.  I will represent SC, Roke will be coming as soon as we meet the 2 seat requirements.  All of the "judges" would have seats there.

@Aragon:
If you need more information on what the "judges" would do, contact Dyluck.  Then please post your response.

Well the guild council was not only sean's idea, it was brought up a long time ago already.

Sean, to qualify as a guild you usually have to have a webpage and a list of your members or else how else would we know?

As I've mentioned...  Force, no force, I represent myself and the town, with no guild title other then me, myself, I and our town if I do decide to force my way in...

As said, WATCHERS from the public will be alowed for the meetings. They have to be quiet and can elect up to three public representatives in the council.
For that purpose, a public meeting could be useful.
As said, up to three public representatives with the right for votes only in NON-GUILD-MATTERS will be allowed IN the council. For example, the judge and list point.

I am not the one who decides who comes, neither is Korwin!!!  But Peace Keeper and Sir Ganon can come as spectators, as long as you follow the rules.

@Peace Keeper:
the meeting is not only guarded by great warriors, it is impossible to reach the meeting area when the meeting is in session, thanks to Lantharan Caine.  It is impossible to force your way in, unless you somehow become a GM.

-----------

Another Note:

I think that in order to qualify for a seat in the council, a guild must have a website that specifically lists their members, and is open to the public.

------------

I hope we get a website for this soon.

Hmm  why will have Sean a seat ?
The pretorian guard is not a guild cuze official they have only two members.
What is with members which are in two guilds? If i´m in two guild i can have then 2 votings if i for both in the council?

How we will declare aktiv members ? or mustend we have aktiv members for a guild?

"If a guild member loses a seat, all the seats from that guild will be revoked and the guild cannot attend the meetings for one month."(Lord Chaos)
Do we will have more then one meeting a month?  cuze then is a ban for 1 month a bit less.

(ooc: can i make now 12 chr´s and form with them a own guild?  *g* its sounds strange but a few guild´s we have like this. )

*This is LC with new name*

We decided at the meeting that the 6 have to be played by different people, but i dont know how anyone but Bror and his friends can enforce it.  And yes, if there is only 1 meeting per month, banning someone for one meeting isn't very long, so we will have to make it maybe 2 or 3 months.

@sean:
Where are your members listed?

You have to let the public know who the members of your guild are or else how can we verify that your guild really qualifies for a seat?

Then you'll get your seat after you list them.

By the way, GMs don't consider it an official guild until there is a website that they can put in the Links section of the Illarion webpage.

Personally I don't see how you made it work besides calling a meeting, but you can take all the credit you want. It still doesn't mean the rules and policies should be bent for you though. We still have to know and verify the members of your guild before we can give it a seat.

I know of someone who said not to shoot flies with bow and arrows...  it won't worth the time and effort...   You people think that I can't go in, fine by me...  just wait and see...   As for the part of those who think I want in only because I'm a great warrior, you're wrong.  I'm in simply because I want to be in, I have the ability to be in, and I am think your meetings are worthy enough for me to attend; and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it...  As for the rest who don't want me in, we'll see who end off standing in the middle of the meeting, even as a ghost if it comes to it.

The first meeting was sort of "come, you may get in".  The next meeting will be a bit more regulated.
