Hiding behind a tree the covered figure watches Jacob walking to the harbour.
"Everyone is going to think that you left the island. So I won't have any problems."
She mumbles to herself and giggles for a short moment. Her gaze wanders from the harbour to her stomach and then to Jacob.
"Hmm..a better life you said. I watch you since our last night now and found you with this young woman. I`m sad for her but it must be done."
Slowly she walks towards him and takes out a dagger silently. Hiding it behind her back the figure sneaks closer to him. In her head still fly the words "Blood of the lover.." when she raises the dagger and pulls it directly into his back. Jacob tries to turn around and wants to say something but the dagger is deeply in his body and makes him unable to do something.
"I`m sorry..love."
She tightens her grip until he falls down to the ground. His body seems to be lifeless and the figure draws him away from the harbour into the forest. Out of her bag she takes two bottles and tries to fill them with his blood until they are full. Then she bandages his wound as best as she can and stands up.
"No one will ever find out, not even if you are lucky enough to survive this cut. I just wanted your blood, not your life."

Virginie was walking through the woods towards the house of the druids, her gaze on the ground. Though entirely concentrated on finding herbs, she heard the call for help from near the harbour. Wrinkling her forehead she looked up and hurried into the certain direction. From afar she saw a young man, kneeling before someone and heard him shouting:
“A healer! I need a healer!!!”
Virginie didn’t hesitate and ran towards the man, her eyes fixed on the person on the ground. As she came closer, it felt like her heart would stop beating for the fraction of a second. It was Jacob lying there on the ground, his back wrapped in blood soaked bandages.
“Jacob!!!”, she bursted out and nearly stumbled.
Falling on her knees next to him she grabbed her bag and examined his wound…
