"Breaking red signs"

I am really frustrated at the moment. again and again the red signs of my battlestaffes break and the weapon becomes half as fast and half as usefull. So that I can throw it away. It is annoying!

I made 5 new staffs, every staffs red sign broke against a mummy in 1-3 hits, and after that as good as every second hit. That destroyes the whole motivation.
My char has 16 dexterity and 12 strength.

Can there be nothing done? this is really fundestroying

Re-equip the staves after the sign broke and it'll be there again. I don't know whether it will restore the staff's full battle power aswell, but atleast you can try.

That I know too. But once re-equiped the sign breaks again after the next tewo hits. so every one or two hits I have to move the staff into my bag and back. That don't helps.

Try changing the way around it goes?

Just switch hands.... don't put it in your bag... that is time consuming

the slow strokes stay when changing hand. that changes nothing
