Arynne could feel the beckon of the mortal realm once more... from where her soul rested half within the girl Rhiannon's, and half within the realm of Cherga, she could feel a forcible pull outwards...
She could not stop it..
She stood on her own two feet, in a body that had long since turned cold on the sand. Her brown hair whisped around her face, like a sweet gentle caress. Ahead of her eyes was a figure she had seen only through the eyes of a child. A tall, menacing lich. And yet, superimposed on the threatening bones, Arynne could see the frame, the tragic eyes, the burning spirit of the elf she had once given her soul to on more than one level.
Oh, Dravish... she spoke.
"Arynne... my love... you are returned. A bargain has been struck."
Arynne's pretty face was filled with a tragic sadness.
"No... You cannot have done this, Dravish."
"t is done, my dear. You are free to walk Gobaith again. Your soul is free, by sacrifice of Rhiannon's."
"Dravish, this cannot be. I cannot live at the expense of another."
"You cannot go again, Arynne. I will not let you. I will not let you go ever again." A desperate hunger clouds the ghostly features Arynne can see over the harsh skeleton.
Arynne's eyes filled with tears, and they began to spill over her ivory-white cheeks.
"Then there is only one path, my love. There is only one way. I must end what I have begun..."
Arynne slid a dagger out from the folds of her robes. A single, shining dagger. She arced it high in the air, above where his heart would reside...
Down, down..
The dagger struck.
A great flame, and not one, but two elves stood amidts the fires. Arynne, and Dravish. For the briefest of moments, their bodies and tongues met in a final farewell, a final embrace...
And then the two forms faded.
Arynne and Dravish were removed from the mortal realm forever.
