An Arrival ...

Post by Saradomin_Meranwyn »

Dhaeraow stands roughly 6' 7'' tall with a finely toned body. He has long, shoulder length white hair. On his back are two large tattoos that seem to glow white in the night. He has abnormally light colored eyes; an icy blue. Another tattoo starts from his hip and spirals down his right leg to his toes; a tribal type. He has abnormally darkened skin as well.

Dhaeraow was born on the isle of Imhyshrion which was still under heavy rule by the Spider Queen. Dhaeraow lived on Imhyshrion for many centuries, learning the art of the blade and black magick. He excelled greatly, mastering many ways and techniques of the sword. He had one flaw, he could not adapt to the arts of magick as he could with the sword. The Spider Queen, seeing his flaw, cast him off the island, saying he was not worthy enough to live there. Dhaeraow took a ship and arrived on the isle Gobaith, knowing nothing of their customs, rules, or laws. He kept few possessions; an old blackened blade and a dark cloak, blackened trousers as well as a blackened shirt. Hanging from his neck is a pure gold pendant, shaped as a three sided star; a finely cut ruby encrusted into the center...

Ashaeria steps lightly onto the docks. She straightens her back, taking in the area. She raises her brows slightly to the inactivity but shrugs it off. Her hair is long and so light a blone that it appears to be bordering on white. It blows in the gentle breeze and Ashaeria gives a small shiver.
You are here, Dhaeraow, I can feel you.
The elfess smiles into the darkening sky and walks north with purpose, the amulet around her neck seeming to shimmer as the ruby encrusted in it catches the remnants of light.

Dhaeraow sat atop a rock in front of Grey Castle, his misty blue eyes scanning the horizon ...

Slender fingers brush at dirt and dust on a blood-red gown. Ashaeria sighs and continues, stepping lightly. She can hear not too far ahead of her a terrible racket. Humans. Swords. Orcs? Yes. The castle was a good place to start. As she arrives in the middle of the large group, she is shuffled quickly into the building. There. As if nothing and no one else stands around her, she sees him. The dark elf she had followed to this land. The raised and multiple voices around her seem whispers to the roar of blood she can hear in her ears. She smiles and walks steadily to the tall being. He turns to look at her, eyes disbelieving.

Ash?

Of course, dear Brother

He had grinned. "Followed me here? Why?"

Ashaeria only smiles happily and throws her arms about his neck. He embraces her in return and she whispers to him.

What is home without you?

A few more words, hasty explanations. How did she escape? Oh yes, she did play the meek servant girl well. Why watch her? Her blood was weak, not that of the others of their land. But it is not safe here. They should go.

Did... Little brother didn't follow *you*, did'e?

She had smirked first, thinking of their little brother as "little".

I told him I would send word... He as every intention of coming.

You know Nede .. Peh. He will be here soon .. more than likely.

Ashaeria Maiwyn grins and nods her head.

I still cannot believe you've followed me .. I never thought I'd see you again.

He takes her hand and pulls her to the door, it is not safe in the castle. How he had snapped at that orc who thought to join their hurried conversation. Yes, that was her brother. His temper. Not to mention the elf who sought only to help them.

Try Vanima. A much more endearing place.

Blasted fool. If I was speaking to you, and it was your business, I would've addressed, and asked you, now wouldn't I?

Such a temper, brother.

Unfortunate for the next elf who chose that moment to walk by as well. A comment her way and the possessiveness reared its head.
They make their way into the forest. He sits on a log and she sits close to him.

Sometimes it is hard for me to keep a balanced temper. I get so angry...

Ashaeria leans into him and places her head on his shoulder.
Dhaeraow places a hand on her back and strokes it slightly.

It is who you are. I love you still.

She smiles softly at his touch and being near to him once more.

Yes, though, I have never seen that in you .. Just me and Nede ..

My temper?Would likely have gotten me killed. There was no reason for me to be kept alive if I was insolent. Do not think my blood runs cool, I can just cover the lava with a smile.

Dhaeraow grins widely.

Ashaeria Maiwyn wraps her arms about him and closes her eyes. This is her home, this is her brother, this is her life.

A tall form steps off the lastest ferry to land at the docks of Gobaith island. The figure stands at least 6' and a half, cloaked in a black cloak with a hood. The hood hides the figure's face, and the cloak does not show any signs of gender of the wearer. The figure looks around as he hears the sounds of a bird. The figure reaches out an arm of dark color to allow the bird to land. After listening to the bird squak, the figure nods its head and heads to the east.

Dhaeraow walks, pacing around the Castle up North. He looks around, "she must still be asleep .." He says to himself.

Ashaeria rises from the forest floor with a cat-like stretch. She looks about her, remembering how she came to this place. Oh, yes. Dha. She spends a moment wondering where he migh be before her keen ice-blue eyes catch the faintest of footprints heading in the direction of the castle. She smiles to herself as she comes out of the woods and stands in the open in front of the castle.

Ash sits with her brother, Dhaeraow, in front of the castle. He is just mentioning that he thinks he has seen Nedeko's bird when the elfess sets her ice blue eyes on a cloaked figure who is walking toward them. Her heart thrums hard in her chest as she leaps up and into the figure's arms.

My brother, My Nedeko. You made it.

She grins as the three of them stand united once more.

Dhaeraow sat out infront of the castle for many an hour. Just sitting there, his eyes closed and blocking out the distractions of the world around him.

some might say he had a light aura around him, others may not.

It had been many days since Dhaeraow had even seen one member of his family out and about. He began to go out and talk to people, which was extremely unlike him. He met a few but one really stood out, Virginie Gladwyn. He had never had a proper childhood and she taught him of things to do. Skipping stones in the lake, or climbing a tree.

He had some fun for the first time in centuries. It was a new feeling to him. And he kept it.

Ashaeria spent much of time about the castle or in the woods, always looking out for one of three men. Dha she was always happy to see as her strong, independent side came out when she was with him. Nede always made her feel loved and protected, even though she was just as protective of him. And now Nicholas. How strange that she should have fallen in love with a man... one whom she finds to be a half elf. He lets her be someone she has never been and opens a side of her she has not seen.
What was this place she had come to and what would it be for her in the long run?
