Amuseing

Post by Dravish »

Within the flames a shrouded figure loomed, the inferno about him troubled him not as he stood watching, searching. The nights happening at first amused the darkly clad figure, but soon this emotion turned into annoyance. The hordes of the dead patrolled the streets in a silent visage of thier old lives, emotionless eyes staring into the shadows seeking the living which they had come to hate, but the survivors of the attack had departed to safety beyond the town walls, leaving the would be army to its own fate for now.

Dravish lowered the cowl of his robe and walked from the flames towards the deserted towns library, his skeletal features lowered in thought.

The act of summoning such a force must have required a great amount of power, how had Rasmantil accomplished this. the act itself was even beyond his own considerable powers, perhaps this spirit was more interesting than he had first thought. If only..

He had reached the entrance to the library but his entrance was barred. A pair of skeletons which had flames running along thier exposed bones stood in his path, as one the creatures reached for the sabres which were strapped to thier sides.

Halt..

Dravish fixed the fiery orbs which many would mistake as his eyes upon the minions of Cherga, his thought projecting to the creatures. For a moment thier limbs continued to move but as the cloaked one before them knew would happen, they both came to a stop, thier arms held rigidly by thier side.

Now to see if what he came for was still undamaged, as worrying as this show of power was, it also aided his own cause, providing the distraction which would see his own goals come one step closer.

Raising an arm before him Dravish gestured to the side and the demonic skeletons moved gracefully from his path.

Such beauty in these creations, much unlike the common skeletons which any fool could raise from thier graves.. And now back to the task at hand.

Stepping through the doorway Dravish made his way within the empty building, walking slowly through the towering bookshelfs, the texts of which he was not interested. There was a certain book which he wished to claim, and this book he could sense.

At last..

Within a corner of the library the lich stopped and reached out his hand grasping a single nondescript tomb.

Such knowledge held within a single book, how fascinating.

Placing the tomb within its robes the lich scans the library once more, with satisfaction the creatures draws a symbol within the air before him and fades from sight.

Now to enjoy the oppertunity offered..
