A little something to ponder about...

Regarding incidents happening today in-game.

Character A murders Character B. He is seen near the rose cloaked and hooded. To escape to safety he jumps into the river and swims away.


Several real life hours later, Character C takes a dive in the very same river and walks towards Sam to buy some dry clothes.

Character D who was witness of the murder says "The murder today swam through the river" and looks at player C who is still dripping of water.

Some questions:

Would player A realy be stupid enough to run around for hours in the same wet clothes, drawing all suspicion on him?

Would player A still be DRENCHED and DRIPPING from water, leaving a small puddle whereever he stands for some time (As Character C did) when he took his swim HOURS BEFORE?

Is it therefor logical for Character D to suspect Character C of the murder, allthough if looked at reasonable it merely was a coincidence.

Is it logical for a group nearby when Character D drew his suspicions on Character C, to respond hostile and not believing character C's justifications, perhaps due to the fact that said Character refuses to #i aswell, drawing furthermore suspicions on him (from some PO's point of view).

Isn't this somehow mixing OOC and IC knowledge plus neglecting logic and reasoning because you want to see the things you want to see, putting a character down that way?

-Yes I am complaining about some peoples roleplay this way, the said people will know who they are, perhaps some might agree with me that this kind of roleplay isn't that... right towards the player of character C-

I agree. I hate it when people immediately mark you as suspicious because you won't #i. After all, how would their character know that you didn't give your real name, but a false one?

There is an Illarion Lynch-mob of sorts. Everyone is so eager to be the hero that they don't stop and think about what they're doing. I can understand if Character D was suspicious, if he was a half-wit, thinking that Character A could survive in the river for oh, say, the six days that would have been in Illa time. The question is why did everyone take him seriously?

It's rather a pity that some players use OOC knowledge (the other player not using #i) as a reason for IC suspicion. Some of the other things could be put down to character stupidity. But let's face it, most of the time it's stupidity on the part of the player.

It can get worse, i know of a certain player who forces you to #i him or threatens to kill you

On an unrelated note, the transition of the map in the screenshot is brilliant, i just hope to god, my pc is good enough.. or i'll cry.
