many of you havent read the rules i noticed ...
Getting pissed yourself for IC matters
Threatening in OOC
Answering OOC questing in IC
stuff like that mainly

there seem to be alot of people who mix IC with OOC witch is verry anoying for the ones amoung us who realy like to roleplay.

your character being anoying and threatening is ok with me ... only not my character but that is what roleplaying is about escaping real life
but you getting all upset about an IC matter in OOC is just wrong.

i like it this way ... a different world but if you mix it with our world it isent fun anymore ... i know it happens
but even after i explained it fully some continue...
i dont blame you if it accientlay happens at start but you shold try to stop after someone has explained.

i also dont want to see you banned ...all potential real life friend or ingame friends of my character...

im just telling you this to help you i mean no insult... i dont mean to act like a GM or so ...
so please ... read the rules while your waiting for your char to be accepted or when you have your char already.

Uhhh, Kevin.

Perhaps now is the time to point out that you are currently the player everyone is pissed off at for using OOC all the time ingame? Some quoes from the last 3 days in my log, and I've only played about 3 hours total in all this time, and seen you for 10 minutes of it.

Now, some of these aren't that bad, just WHISPER them if you have to say them.

And that's just a few things that you did in about 10 minutes total time I was near your character. So, um, I don't really thing you're one to be complaining.

Still, the point he raises is a good one.

When installing this game you have to check a box excepting the rules.
That suggest that you'd have to read them as well.

Yes, I suppose so. Well enough anyway. Personally I'd do away with the application process though. The players that don't fit to this kind of game usually wind up leaving in a few weeks' time and I don't think that would change if we didn't have the application. I know for a fact that the application thing drives away people who would actually want to play. It's the reason my friend doesn't play, anyway. In her words, "Applying to play a game? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of."

Some form of application is a must have for Illarion for one simple reason. A new player who has not read any of the rules arrives and soon either leaves or with luck learns because rp is all around them. With out an app we would have 5 or more such players and the rp would not rub off. The newer players who have not rped before learn because 90% of people online are rping.
In the past week, I have...
Been attacked three times with out #me's or any rp reason.
I have had people attempt extremely forced #me's
I have seen blatant use of ooc and people with no concept of IC and OOC at all.
How ever i have also seen many players who are lost and have not rped before catch on so fast, and as soon as some one realizes what rp is about and how "we" do it in our own little Illa way. Many of them take to it really fast...
We have a lot of new players at the moment which is truly wonderful !! we should all be happy about that and do our best to encourage them.

This really is not about good or bad rp i have long since stopped trying to make that definition. Players who hang around learn to play Illarion it is that simple.
Personally I would like to see the account application made more relevant asking a little about moonsilver and perhaps the guide to role-playing. Writing a story is one thing if the account application raised awareness of moonsilver and the forums it may actually encourage people to read them.

Personally I'd do away with the application process though.

It is my fear that if the account application was done away with we may suddenly find that we at times had more people unfamilar with role-playing around than people who rped. Groups of new players OOCing togther cannot help the game.
Any one who is at all familar with role-play Pen and paper or online should not find a small application daunting. These people remain our target audience by the standards we set ourselves.
One only needs to look at the post Estralis made how not to write an application and see apps, with all AAAAAAAAAAA or some incoherent rambeling to see why application is a necesity. We are also not staffed with a GM ingame 24/7 as larger games are.

That one is amazingly hellish. Truly is. It is way too extended. I also mentioned that when I did it to the fullest lol.

I looked at the rules. They have rules about looting corpses. In what they say is a true RPG. Rules. About taking loot. True RPG. Does not compute. Robot confused.

i tend to get small OOC rampages sometimes ... sometimes ...

like when i first joined this forum first time and got about 30 PPD

and yes i'm sorry i tend to forget to wisper

you cold say ... your exactly like a newbie ... and in someways i kinda am ...

so hereby i tell you if anyones anoyed by my OOC please tell me i'm annoying for i dont alwais notice it.
