make it faster - about the game

Post by Baal Ceylon »

ok here is my wish..

bror or every other player that can help..

please make the walking sequences faster so the game is faster..
now you can walk the same speed as every monster and you can
not go in dungeons until you are 100% sure that you can defeat
the monsters down they (sure you can go down but then you must
think about your death) cause the monsters are block your way and
have the same speed as you.. so you can never hide.

i hope that bror or anyone else can make a little speed diferences
about the monsters and players it would be cool for the game

thanx for listening me

There are already speed differences.
Create a character with agility 3 and one with agility 18 and compare them.
There are also speed differences between the monsters. I think insects and spiders are very fast.

hmm i was wondering...agility affects your speed and parry, and dexterity affects how fast you hit, am i right?

Hmm, i guess agility affects the hit speed. Dexterity affects how good you hit, i guess. An how hard too.

Actually, it also depends on what tiles you step on.

Grass: Faster
Street: Fast
Parquet: medium-fast
Sand: Medium-ish (should be as slow as rock)
Forest: Medium
Rock: Slow

So if you are running away from, lets say, a Troll... walk on grass, not the rock.
You can raise a Halfling's speed to 20... which would make him agile.
But remember, if you have high other stats you may not need to walk fast.
If you can handle spiders, however, theres no need to have high agility.
