A few questions

Post by giorgos »

Hello,

I'm new to illarion, and I must say it looks quite promising.
I'm having problems with some actions though.
a.How do I open doors? I can't seem to open them, neither in the castle in sam's room, nor in silverbrand.
b.How do I rest? I've tried an action, and I was informed of being hungry and exhausted.
c.Where do I find the necessary smithing materials?
d.How do I process cloth to something that can be worn?

I lost a fight to plenty of flying bugs because my weapons and armor broke. Now I need to start rebuilding them and I have to find out how.

Thanks in advance

Quite promising !?
Since you are new I let you go with this one, next time you'll burn for it. ;)

a) Some doors are locked, you can not open them without the fitting key.
The two doors you named are one of those.

b) Resting is doing nothing that would cause mental or physical stress to your character (learning something).
A campfire and a friendly chatter sounds prefect, don't you think ?

c) The best advise is to let your character ask this while you play the game. Other characters surely know where to buy these tools.

d) There is A Sticky at the General Board, maybe the answer is there. Otherwise your character can try to find a tailor who might teach his craft to your character.

e) You can ask arround for a smith, or maybe find the answer in the said Sticky how to craft metal goods.

However ... don't do everything on your own, thats just to much effort.

First of all, thanks for the quick reply,

the only reason, I said 'quite promising', is that the game is still at an alpha stage, and thus there will be further improvement in the future.

I'll try to interact with others more, as you said it's tough doing everything on your own.
thanks for the advice

I think this game will always be in the "alpha phase".
