A new arrival

Post by Rose O'Bevin »

>> Excuse me, … Excuse me. <<
Rose turned around into the direction she heard the heavy footsteps on the wooden plank.
>> Where are we now?<<
>>Close to Gobaith, m’lady.<<, responded the broad shouldered sailor and continued walking, not minding the Lady any longer. In his hurry he didn’t even recognize that the brown haired woman was not able to fix her eyes on his. Instead she was looking past him or maybe through him. Rose nodded to herself and turned back to the railing, casting her eyes over the sea and breathing in the salty air.
In a whispering tone she spoke silently to herself. >> I really enjoy this travel… <<
She could feel how the ship slowed down its speed and the voices on the board got louder. Someone yelled something about a harbour. Excited and smiling the young woman grabbed her bag and made her way along the railing, counting the steps.

>> Are you alright? <<, an elder passenger, who immediately became aware of her state, asked caringly.
She stopped and smiled shyly into the direction she heard the voice coming from. >> Oh yes, I’m fine.<<
>> May I help you to get off the ship ? This harbour is my destination as well <<
>> That would be very, very kind of you, Sir. Thank you. <<

Upon the stony harbor sat Endiil, leaning against a massive tree pole wich is used to tie ships to the harbor so they don't float away. She was fishing and only half aware of the ship that was coming in. She was a very tiny elf. Short, ruffled blonde hair, Red, bright sparkling eyes that is hidden under the straw hat she has upon her head. She is short. Maybe 1.40m tall. She has rather brown, tanned skin and beside her there are various tools used for farming. She has one eye open and she looks down the line on the little piece of cork that is floating in the water. Suddently it is dragged under the surface and she is allmost dragged into the sea by the surprise. She uses all her strength and pulls the big fish upon land. She grins, rather impish, at the fish and does a little victory dance. She then notices that the ship is halfway into the harbour and soon docking. She leaves the fish and rod with the other tools and walks over to see who enters and leaves the ship. There is a small crowd of different people on the bridge wich is apparently going to sail back from where the ship came from.

Getting leaded by the elderly man, Rose stepped from the ship, carrying her belongings in the bag on her back.
Hesitatingly and carefully she made her way over the footbridge before she bid farewell to the man.

Rose tilted her head and listened while she stood in the middle of the harbour and appeared rather lost. There were a way too much voices and yet this place was totally foreign to her.

As Endiil looked around she noticed a beautiful young woman that seemed rather lost in the big crowd. She walks up to the woman and looks directly into her eyes with a huge grin on her lips. She waves to her and jumps slightly in excitement.

"Hiya! I'm Endiil! Who are you?"

She looks at her with her red eyes and smiles.

With a slightly surprised expression Rose lowered her gaze into the direction she heard the voice from the little girl coming from.
She smiled cheerfully, but the little elfess may recognized that Rose is not able to fix her eyes own hers.
>>Oh. Hello, my name is Rose. Nice to meet you Endiil. A pretty name you have.<<

"Thank you" she replied. "Your's is pretty name too!"

A slight moment of silence came upon the two.

"Are you new here?" she asked with rather exciting eyes because she like to show newcomers around. She waits patiently for an answer; her mother had told her not to be impatient.

Rose chuckled. >>Yes, I am. And I'm in the desperate need of someone to show me the way to the next bigger town. What can you tell me about this island?<<

Occasionally Rose looked up, hearing other noises and she appears rather uncomfortable standing in the middle of this crowd.

"This way!"

Endiil leads her over to the place where she left her items and the big fish. She puts the fish inside her bag and takes up the tools.

"This island is called Gobaith and is a rather quiet island if you live as a commoner. If you should become a, for example, warrior or mage, you would find that this island has much to offer aswell. many different minions of the undead legion, or the demonic creatures. Many dungeons to explore, treasures to find and much more. I live by myself as a farmer over at the Farmer unions house. I could show you to Troll's Bane, the city of humans and events on this island. It is quite some trip. I would rather not show you there, since recent troubles there has shown the town to be quite dangerous.. A cloaked man named Rasmantil calling himself "The Executioner", Dravish, an former elf who gave in himself to the blood lord himself by killing the only person he loved. I would rather not lead you there, but if you absolutely want to, I will. There are other town though. The great mine city of Silverbrand, home of the dwarves, the green and beautiful island of Vanima, the home of the elves, the small town with vast fields of Greenbriar, the town of halflings and the vast mountain landscape of Varshikar, home to orcs and the people of the north. I will do as you like, but let's stop at the Farmers Union first, I need to drop off some things there."

She takes a deep breath then smiles up at her.

Rose listened to that little girl curiously and widened her blue eyes at her stories.
>>Wow<<, she said finally. >>Seems like really a lot is happening here<<
The brown haired woman smiled lovely before she added:
>>But I fear you will have to show me this town called Trolls Bane though. Because I would not know what to do in a town of dwarfs, elfs, halflings or orcs. Would you be so kind? ... There is just one thing. Don't walk too fast, alright? I have no eyelight and so it is sometimes heavy on journeys.<<

Endiil frowns for a second then gets her usual grin and straps her tools upon her shoulder, then nods.

"Troll's Bane it is, center town of this island and the centre of activity. A perfect place to find a man, something to eat or drink, weapons, armors, flowers and all kinds of strange people. First stop at Farmers Union a bit to the east. I will try not to walk too fast."

She grins at her and nods for her to follow her. She walks of slowly; Rose told her not to go too fast, expecting her to follow.

>>Finding a man<<, Rose giggled. >>Tell me about the men of Trolls Bane. And general the people there.<<
Her hair waved gently in the early wind and a amused smile played across the ladies lips, while she followed the girl.
Rose wore a dress in a soft blue tone and a darkblue cloak over her shoulders, since the days were still a little cold.

>>I love the spring<<, Rose added after a while. >>Everything starts blooming again and the air is filled with the scent of life and joy.<<
