Warriors of Gobaith,

Due to the growing threat of Dravish, and his 'allies', I am bringing forward an idea of Pendar's, and I am creating an army.

Strong and weak warriors both are invited to join, you must supply your own equipment, however the Knights of Kallahorn, have agreed to help in training.

I have lived on this island for a long time and have helped deal with Drakhen and his kind a number of times, it is time to end this, it is time to put an end to living in fear of that lich, this is our chance to protect those who can not protect themselves.

All those who wish to volunteer, please sign your name here, also how skilled you are, and if you are willing to teach.

Just a few quick questions.
Is this an army for Trolls Bane or the whole of Gobaith?
Under whos leadership will it be?
What powers will it have with regards to jurisdiction?
Have the Leaders of other Towns been contacted in regards of this?

As a Varshikari I am willing to stand with you against this threat to our Island. If Lord Aristeaus gives his consent and if you will have me.

I am not a warrior but I am a moderate fighter with a staff. I have my own armour and weapons. As a carpenter I can provide as many Battle Staffs as you require.

I do not think I am skilled enough to teach Martial skills.

As it stands, I am creating this to deal with Drakhen, and therefore is open to anyone from any town, however it will be Pendar's discretion if in future it becomes a standing army for Trollsbane.

As for leadership, I would be the battle field commander, but everything can be discussed in a war council of the leaders of every group involved in it.

What wars have you fought and won Callith ? Is it not surprising that when Pendar Fayed is unconscious, you decide to begin this? Why now? Why has it taken you these months to react to the lich of Dravish?
Reading your recent writings it shows you are what I called you out to be those many months ago, a power hungry schemer.
You lack legitimate expertise and you lack legitimate trustworthyness. You, Callith, have started this army against the foul lich that attacks the entire island and you do not consult the real leaders of the towns about it. Instead you call yourself head of the army of Gobiath.
King Tialdin of Silverbrand, Elder Damien of the Elven Folk and Lord Aristeaus of the Varshikari should have been informed of this before you began it. Alas you reach far and wide in your efforts to gain more power for yourself.
I will lend my sabre to this cause, but never under you, alongside my fellow elven and dwarven friends will I stand against this threat of the lich.

I don't think I have ever met you, nor do you know anything about me.

This is Pendar's own idea, but I am bringing it forward to deal with the Lich now. However lets go through this. Point by point.

I have been in more wars than I can truely count, a lifetime of warfare belnds together.

I promised Pendar I'd make this island a better place for him to wake up to, Dravish has been gathering allies, and it is time to create a force to counter this.

As I have previously stated, this was Pendar's idea, I am just making it a reality.

I am not a power hungry schemer. If I was, when I was offered the place of Captain over Pendar, I would have taken it yes?

Pendar's plan was to make it an army for Trollsbane alone, of which he was going to put me in charge of, I have decided that an island wide threat requires an island wide responce. Your right, I should have contacted the other leaders first, however they are welcome to speak to me, and join the war council if they put men in battles.

However if you would still like someone to vouch for my command skills, ask the friends of Sevious Helios, who I accompanyed with a force of elven warriors into his countries war against the lich Kalamon.

Or when he wakes up ask Pendar.

Others should be wary of this formation, large military groups only lead to trouble, like the Grey Rose and guards, people who wish to hold a firmer grasp in a place where they are not really wanted. I only have a problem if Dravish puts me in direct danger, or if there is an attack on Varshikar or Vanima.

Any citizen of this island who will follow the man of Callith, with such a shady character that he has would be best off walking blindly into a marsh.
Callith a few question, where did you get these elven warriors and if you truely had elven warriors on call why do you not summon them now where they all slain in battle ? Why have I never heard of the lich Kalamon ? Why, if at all, could you kill this Kalamon but you cannot defeat Dravish or Drahken ?

Why are nearly all the mages unable to cast spells? why, a while back were the warriors of this isle and a long time before any of the people here came here unable to kill creatures they could kill blindfolded?

Odd isnt it that i woke up one day and my ice bird amulet along with nearly all my equipment was gone? Also many more people, nearly everyone i knew had lost nearly everything, they could barely slay a pig, craft, or cast.

Callith to has suffered from the troubles of that time ago, along with all of us whom woke up with nothing that odd day.

Garret, i believe even you were on the isle that strange day. Callith still retains all knowlage of previous experience, he just is incapable on acting on the knowlage untill he practices what he once could do with ease.

Callith has defeated many armies, i witnessed it. He lead victorious army against odds that were against him , and only loosing not even a portion of his army.

Garret, elven or not i will slaughter you and everything you hold dear. Your words boil my blood and make me wish i had the magic i once had. You would be nothing more then shattered ice on the cobblestone in Vanima.

I have never killed a person in Trollsbane who has not been a threat to the saftey of the people.

All my descions have been made to help the innocent people of this island, to protect those who can not protect myself.

Anyone who wishes to follow me will take a risk, like you would joining up with any other millitary group. People die in battle, on boh sides. It is unavoidable, however I am offering training to all who are willing to join, good training, will let you live longer, and it will help you earn money for better equipment, and what will you have to do?

Help your friends kill a demon perhaps, fight a battle against some orcs, destroy some undead?

If no one is willing to fight beside me, then I will still stand with the disorganised rabble that quickly bands together to fight against the enemy, and there will be many casualties.

An organised force, however will not suffer so badly. I am not only offering you training, with this, you will find friends that you will keep for life, and you may even keep your life, which could be put in danger, by this islands regular method to battle.

I have watched and I have witnessed, an isle of warriors becomes no more than a mob with swords when battle finds you the people of this isle.
Every man wishes to lord over his own blade and not many posses the steel to lord over there emotions.
The times I have stepped in to aid in defence have been when unarmed men and women scream for warriors as some foul sending of this lich approaches.
Think well on the elf words for when you are garotted or run through while trying to hold your sweet hearts innards in her belly. Tears will be your own making,
What skills I posses will stand behind a concerted effort to defeat this creature. I will leave the rest of you to play malitia and fight as scattered rebels in your own lands!

Whot makes yoo say orcs is da one who joins Dravish, Yoo knows nuffen of orcs cause yoo stoopid elf. If meh didnt have honor meh would haves mes clan join dem too. Many blacken hoomans prolly join Dravish and his armies of undead, hoomans are eayser ter talk inter tings dan mes and mehs orcs is. Callith better watch words befores meh is forced ter joins da lich and kills all of yoos who talks bad bout orcs!

Fancy writing and quick wit does not make you correct. Dravish is by most accounts an evil being, he slew his own love so he would be closer to the Blood Lord, he has slain many simply for looking at him. Your next arguement would be what makes him evil, but there is no way to argue with that silly logic, if you do not believe in good and evil then you cannot believe in the gods and if you do not believe in the gods you lack much needed logic.

I have no doubt that Dravish is evil, for he hunts the innocent

Yet I wonder what a rabble of armed people will do... Will they not abuse their powers? Will they not hunt those who they beleive guilty? WHen some orcs helped defend the town, were they not attacked by their own team-mates?

Hate may never be a way to remove evil; it only strenghtens it, and evil will prevale

I wish only that whoever Callith decides to lead will have more sense then to fight for hate
