The problem is not *how* bad of an influence it is, but wether it is a bad influence at all. I know of cases where Illarion has been entirely an unhealthy habit for adults, let alone our younger players.Ziel Oden wrote:Hmm.. Keep in mind it is an imagination - and if you feel ILLARION is my biggest negitive influence, you are so.. so.. unbelivably wrong. The internet holds worse things then illarion. www.google.com

and keep in mind the infinate ammount of porn and snuffs sites across the internet.
I don't intend to sound mean, but Illarion was not built to be a conduit for rage, rather as a method of escape.
Now, about my killers. Ever think this is how I take rage out, instead of real life? And you know how the lizard was the ONLY mass murder?
I took it upon myself to PM you with what is said on the internal boards. Trust me. I have more access on these boards than I wish I did often. I know what I'm talking about, generally.
A) "this is a permanent bann meaning that you won't be unbanned forever"

I don't want a child. And you weren't banned specifically because you were too young. I only explained to you my own concerns and I hope that you can respect them as such. You were given more chances on one hand, but on the other hand too far is too far.
B) Get a kid, get over me. The last thing I want is a bunch of grown german and americans that I dont even know worring about me. Or better yet, adopt! Go grab a child that accualy NEEDS love. This is the kind of behavior that makes me PUKE.

Yes.. unhealthy habit, indeed. Not to mention all the e-Drama that can come from the roleplays when people who are completely enveloped in the game meet other people who are equally as absorbed.
*cough*
Ziel, on the front page of this game's site it says:
This means that we want the people playing to be of a certain degree of maturity before playing this game. If the game is a conduit for rage (as worded by Aegohl) for you, then perhaps that is a sign you should not be playing until you are a little older. Though, I look around and still see many exceptions to this concept lurking about on the forums and in the game as well. People who constantly argue with each other just because they feel they can, being one of the things that is littered everywhere.Illarion Main Site wrote:This game is strongly recommended for ages 16 and older. I'm not saying that I'm defending or attacking you, because in the grand scheme of things, I haven't known you since you first came here. I was still on a rather extensive (around a year or more) hiatus from Illarion. I've seen many bad players come and go, leaving behind small puddles of immaturity behind them, and I've seen wonderful players go in the same manner. Its hard enough for the GMs to decide who is mature enough for this game, so I'm glad you're not taking this with too much hostility. Then again, we can't really see what you truly think, and I would be inclined to imagine you are rather devastated. If that's the case, then at least you can relate to someone else who knows devastation, who knows of losing very good things in one's time in Illarion, if not all of Illarion itself.
Oh ho! Where oh WHERE do I start?
Do you have any idea how stupid this is? I play grand theft auto and live with my mom who is WORSE in respect for life then I am. Just yesterday I relized how much I unconsiously try and be like her. And oh.. trust me.. You'd ban her the first day.Aegohl wrote: The problem is not *how* bad of an influence it is, but wether it is a bad influence at all. Smart man walkin.Yes.. unhealthy habit, indeed. Not to mention all the e-Drama that can come from the roleplays when people who are completely enveloped in the game meet other people who are equally as absorbed.
I'm banned, not from maturity, but from inabbility to click Back instead of Send. And just messing up one more final time. I do wish I had gotten a warning, IG or in a PM instead of just ringing my neck for killing a character that kept attacking my orc.Though, I look around and still see many exceptions to this concept lurking about on the forums and in the game as well. That is becuase I'm still gathering my peices back up.I'm glad you're not taking this with too much hostility
If you did, you'd only live to about 30 yearswe can't really see what you truly think

I beg your pardon? Have you not had a thousand warnings before, even a non-permanent ban before? There is a time when warnings are no longer the way to go hun.I'm banned, not from maturity, but from inabbility to click Back instead of Send. And just messing up one more final time. Joshua, a few days before that with Cirindil you were res killing a halfling and a dwarf at the cross for stealing Ko's leather and insulting him. I told you that day that it is forbidden to res kill, even if the other one insult you or whatever. I told you that it is against the rules and will be punished by a GM if he sees or knows that.I'm banned, not from maturity, but from inabbility to click Back instead of Send. And just messing up one more final time. I do wish I had gotten a warning, IG or in a PM instead of just ringing my neck for killing a character that kept attacking my orc.
You can't have more warning, you knew very well what happens when you res kill someone.
And I've said Shan, that at least for the dwarf part, I, the PO of it, did not consider it wrong. I was asking for it. I was fine with it. I told that to everyone OOC that bitched about it. Can we please at least drop that part of the argument? I was expecting it, and I got it. It was all IG, just to piss off the orc, cuz my dwarf dislikes Orcs.
The reason for his banning is for none of us to debate or to justify, its happned and its done. I see no point in rubbing salt in old wounds. As i like to say if you havnt anything nice to say, keep it to yourself. Josh came and tried, and damn he did well. The golden violin a prime example. From what i read of the guild, it was highly respectable. And as to Ko, he wasnt a random Pk'er, i roleplayed with him on numerous occasions. And the person who spent most of his time with Ko, Alkuurg who's PO is the simon cowell of the illarion world didnt have many a reason to complain, and spent alot of time with Josh.
So Josh had his good and his bad. Farewell once more fella.

Simon Cowell. Judge on American Idol (reality t.v. show that has thousands of people from the states auditioning to be the next "american idol"). He complains and insults everyone's performances and no one can seem to catch a break around him. (For the most part). I also do not see Al'kuurg like this, but if he is and Ko got no complaints from him... wow.
