The Gobaith Institute

Post by Misjbar »

I hereby wish to instate the institute of Gobaith, to teach all the illiterate members of our society, our lesser developed members of our society, and ofcourse those of our society wish to learn more about life, and about general knowledge.

The place where the classes shall be held is yet to be decided, Vanima would be a good place for it's serenity, and natural magic treshold. However, anyone who thinks they can provide a good space to hold the classes, shall ofcourse be welcomed.

For now, I am the only teacher. I do hope I can attract one or two more, reducing my load of stress, and ofcourse improving tutoring quality to the maximum.

Classes to be given
-----------------------
  • *Basic Etiquette (for the rude members of our society)
*Advanced Etiquette (for the people who just want that tad more)
*General Mythology (about the gods, and the myths surrounding them)
    *History
This is only a basic list, it might be expanded over time. The classes shall be held on solid times, this means you might have classes every Tuesday or so. I still have to figure out the more complex effects of this decision. For now, I wish to assess the interest for a proper education, and wether there are people who wish to offer their knowledge as a teacher.

Hello,

I'd like to improve my knowledge of ettiquette, indeed. I wish to take the basic ettiquette class and then graduate into the advanced ettiquette class.

Will there be a price?

Yours,
Slasthulphus, Forester of Trollsbane

There is just one problem.

I admire your ideas, but etiquette finds it place amoungst the rich; so when a person is rich, he will learn it on his own with the company he keeps.

As for Mythology, any religous guild will give all answers needed.

However I admire your stand on etiquette; but which are you talking about? Dwarves trow things on the floor, orcs spit, all seem to be etiquette

How do you think the rich learn it? Everyone has had an education, atleast, from my point of view, all the powerfull have had an education worth of their current status. Take my course, and learn my view on etiquette.

Slasthulphus, there will be a small fee involved, because even the educated have to eat. I still have to set the price for the courses, as I still have to find many solutions, as to where to hold these classes. But thank you for applying. The more people I hear from, the better the likeliness the Institute will be succesfull.

It seems Slasthulphus shall receive private lessons. Anyone who is still interested in lessons can ofcourse send me a letter, but I do not dare call it "the Institute" anymore. It seems some of the people on this island are just too afraid their skills in the subjects are so below par, that I might laugh at them. And I might, that is not the point, but I do insist on some of the people on this island (in particular the socalled gaurd) to get a proper education.

Oh well, the dumb attract the dumb, sort of say.

Ah greetings Gobaith, and greetings to you friends. Did you know it is good etiquette to leave a readable name next to one's signature, but let us forget that for a moment?

I have recently returned from travels about the surrounding lands in search for the answers to the questions which shall be asked. During my stay I will happily aid in the education of those who wish to learn, one must earn one’s place after all.

If you are interested in my services learned brother please leave a notice at the end of this scripture.

I am interested Lauranthalas, however, since there are so little students, I can cope myself. And my name is Quenmi Daval, which can actually be clearly seen by my signature alone, therefor, as not to insult anyone's intellect, I left the name be. I guess I was wrong.

To Farel, it is the other way around. I teach you the ways of a proper person, and I doubt you can teach me anything but brutal slaughter.

The signature says Quenmi Daval, for those with a lesser view than others.
