Owain had just found himself in this new city, Troll's Bane. He looked around. It was the first real city he had been to. He felt awed and scared at the same time. Was it like this for his older brother when he left home those years ago? Owain wonders. Possibly. Gawain hadn't been to anywhere really before he awoke one day with a vision that he had to leave and become a knight. and now Owain felt he had the same destiny. They may have gone different routes, but Owain knew the ultimate goal was to be the same. To be protectors, fighting for the weak. He breathed deeply, looking everywhere, staying out of people's ways as they went by him. He looked through the windows of buildings trying to figure out what each was. He stopped at the well in town and paused, trying to take everything in.
Owain pondered something, clearly thinking by the expressions on his face. "Its so big, and so many different people. I've seen the orcs that I only thought existed in the stories mother told when I was little. And those lizard-folk! So different. At least I knew dwarves and elves existed. I wonder if this is a good place to be? I hope so."
He glanced around again.

Owain comes out of the shop and runs down to the closest intersection of streets. He stops and looks back, thinking.
"Was that me he was refering to to get out? I didn't even say anything. Maybe this place isn't so good to be in."
Owain looked back and then headed off to explore more, very carefully this time.[/i]

Owain wakes up outside of the town walls to the north, under an apple tree. He yawns and stretches his sore muscles. He looks around, puts on his cloak and makes sure all his things are present. He stands up and walks into town.
I hope today is a better day than before. I know I'm shy, being new here, but I really would like a friend. And help. Things are so different here.

Owain is in Eliza's shop, writing in a book he pulled out from a bag. He writes furiously, then pauses, thinking. He then writes one more word. He nods to himself and stands and heads for the front door. He walks out, and asks those he runs into if they know where Pendar Fayed, Captain of the Troll's Bane Guard is.
