New Players

I think this game is really harsh to new players... I just logged in for the first time ive read the entire manual and i have no idea what is going on. i cant do anything. Every time i log in it gives me this message to say I want to become a magician. Which ive already said like 5 times. I have no idea how to get spells. Ever book i try to read tells me you dont understand what it says or you learn nothing new. So im wondering if any of you can help me or give recommendations to add a tutorial or something. Also because of no private messages or shouts No one could contact me in game to help.

That message popping up everytime you log in is a bug. It only counts the first time.

As for books, to read different pages you must change the numbers on your counter, located in the bottom middle of your game screen.

The magic system is undergoing changes and does not currently work.

There is no private message ingame because Illarion characters do not have telepathic abilities.

If you have questions, check the Newbie forum or use the search function.

You could also try asking other characters about your problems. I'm sure they would help and since this is a roleplay game which means that you actually have to try to find contact ingame, you can only win by doing so.
