We are currently working on a fansite for the good of illarion players... However we do not know EVERYTHING, so if anyone wishes to help with the site by giving enough info on particular skills ect... please PM me; or post below...

Na, not off topic. Off topic is for stuff that has nothing to do with Illarion. I couldn't figure out why you labelled this OOC; IC posts are only "allowed" on the RPG and the Guilds-board.

If you havent, you might want to talk to the gms about what is allowed on the fansite. If i were you i would gather all the information from moonsilver and ultimate illarion and add it to yours, change wording if they complain about taking thier stuff. But dont forget to put extra stuff that they dont have. Maybe you can put them both out of buisness hehe. BTW i hear that moonsilver is going through a big update so if i were you i would wait before writing about the topics they cover so you dont have to re-do it all.

I was not aware there was only allowed to be one fansite anyway.

And you're all so very welcome for the manual, I love how the people that are the rudest to newbies asking questions whose answers are contained in that manual are the ones who want to be snide about it.

Why do I bother? Seriously, why do I bother trying to do anything nice or productive? I could have spent that hour or so writing for money.

Even as a fan of Ultimate Illarion, there is room for more than one Illarion fansite and in the past there were several. Really, Raven, you're being a bit of a jerk, here.

Why must anyone who writes Illarion-related material help Fooser update? Did Fooser ask for help? Not that I'm aware. Chill out.

I think it's a bit unfair to make Devrah down for being productive for our all-favorite game (;))...Nobody forces anyone to visit this site after its finished.So I don't care if there are a million of fansites,I don't have to visit any of them,not even the mainpage~

Yes, I think Devrah's idea is good, because the more websites dedicated to Illy there are the more well known it will be and it's always to see other people's views on things so please come back Devrah

Its not just raven, there does seem to be a trend of putting down people who would spend time trying to improve the background and support area's of Illarion. They seem to be afraid of change, they all want to cling to Ultimate Illarion as if it is gospel. Just look at my Magical Correspondances thread if you want to see some other examples of this behaviour.

As such, Devrah has my full support in this project, and I would be most willing to add any information I can to the site.

You just have to realise Devrah, that people will bitch and moan at you whatever you do, you just have to accept that and not let them stop you doing something productive. Just drive ahead, and they'll come round. I'll support you, and Im sure there are many others who will.

I would propose you to take a pre-written one like phpbb or stuff.

If you are able to keep your files smaller than 1 MB each I would be happy to fill out the application form on a german server for you.

Allright, I don't know if I feel like playing or not, but I'll continue the website only because I promised Sarah and Adrian I would.

I have hosting for an English site already, but I do want it translated into German and put on a German server too...

Although, the hosting I have is off of my boyfreind's old IT website, so maybe : / But we're doing a lot of it in Dreamweaver and Frontpage for now, just to get something up there. I know SQL so the German one might work after all if I need to do anything with a database... Groar, I don't know. Sarah, hadrian? What do you guys prefer?

Mine has 300MB of space, no file size limit for individual files.

Lumberjacking
Lumberjacking is the extraction of logs from trees, and the conversion into boards, it is also the removal of branches from cherry trees.
Getting Logs
Logs are obtained by means of a hatchet; and conifer or apple trees. Fir trees give conifer logs, while apple decidous. It is important that any armored shirt being worn is removed, otherwise it will be imposible to chop the tree due to the restricted movement. If the tree is cut down sucessfully, it will be reduced to a stump, however, if the tree was already weakened to start with, it might die and fail to regrow. Because of this, Reforestation is important to guarantee a good supply of trees. The resultant logs may either be converted into boards, or set alight in order to dry leather for example.

In order to use the hatchet, move close to the tree, and take the hatchet into your hand. Shift+Click on the hatchet, and then keeping Shift held down, click once on the tree; then release the shift. A sound will be heard, and if it is sucessful, the tree will be cut down, otherwise the tree will continue standing. In order to set logs alight, drag the logs into a tile, and Use them twice [Shift+Click] [Shift+ Click].

Logs are important to tanners as it helps wet leather dry faster, and to cooks in order to cook upon.

Logs may not be sold to any NPC.
