Illarion is a roleplaying game. This is an announcement for all, to remember. Roleplay is not optional, it is compulsory. Illarion has prided itself always as a stronghold of roleplay and this will always continue.
If players disrupt the roleplay atmosphere for others, they can be cautioned and perhaps removed from the game.
Disruptions include speaking OOC aloud, constantly.
Disruptions include using emoticons, within the context of roleplay. Players may have done this in old games, and it may have been acceptable but not here.
Disruptions include refusing to roleplay outright, even after the first week or so, where some leeway is given.
However, having said that, I would also like to congratulate players on maintaining a high standard of roleplay. I would also like to congratulate the majority of new players who have integrated quite quickly.
Finally, as a message to all roleplayers. If you encounter players who don't roleplay in-game, don't counter them with OOC abuse or arguing, engage them in roleplay.
If that doesn't work take them aside, and whisper to them about what they are doing wrong.
And finally, if that doesn't work, just send a message to one of the in-game GMs and we'll try and help them.
Thanks.

Danke.
Danke für PO Gwynnether für die Übersetzung

I think this is a good reminder, Jappy
I'd like to add, if you need to speak OOC in game, PLEASE USE OOC TAGS!!
IE. (OOC)<message(/OOC) ((<message>)) <<message>> ect
Characters will otherwise think you are crazy.

*bump*
I've brought this to the top, because I've recently seen a pretty horrific example of rule-breaking.
A player roleplayed attacking another. Fine.
The attacked player was defeated. Fine.
The defeated player returned, with another character to fight the player that had defeated him.
This is mixing OOC knowledge between characters.

Message to Newbies:
USE OOC:... otherwise you'll sound stupid or get a stupid answer
A newbie had accidently targeted a player to be attacked.. by mistake
"How to I stop attacking"
The answer to that was "Tell your arm to stop attacking" [something like that]
If you want a good answer use OOC:
"((How to I stop attacking))"
"((Ctrl and click))"
Also.. use F1 to F5.... dont forget them
