Heavy Hogs - Put your char on a diet...

While creating my character today, something came to my attention.

Everyone in Illarion is overweight, with many others possibly fatally obese.

I wanted to create the ideal weight for my character, in order to suit his physical characteristics, and so, working best in stone I decided to google a stone - kg converter.

I merrily tapped away 125 kg into the converter, and to my surpirse, and horror found that even the lowest weight was equivilant to 19.7 stone.

Truthfully, I found this rather odd, and as such I looked up a BMI calculator, working on a hunch I typed in the tallest possible height (214cm) against the lowest possible weight (125kg) and found that the lowest acheivable BMI was infact 27.3 or in otherwords, overweight.

Though, if you have done the basic thing of wanting to create an average character by using midway values, you might find that using an average height (in this case 183cm/6 foot) and a weight of (175kg) you infact have a BMI of 52.3!!!!

I dont know if something has gone horribly wrong in my calculations or if Im just being an idiot, but can someone else look into this and confirm/disprove my findings?

I used http://www.unit-conversion.info/weight.html for conversions and http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm for the BMI calculations.

Yeah, I think that the weights actually make more sense for lbs instead of kG but are labelled as KG.

Yep,realized that,too...

Up to the introduction of this BMI the ideal weight has been calculated like this:

(Body-Size in cm) - 100 = ideal weight in kg

My charakter is 180 cm tall,that would mean his ideal weight is about 80 kg.Regarding myself I'm 184cm with a weight of ~70 kg.
Now I always have to think of my char as a forced fatty ~_~ Since the least possible weight available at char-creation is 125 kg.
