someone tried to rob me a while ago after a while of poking him with my dagger i saw some kind of cloud does that mean i killed him ? or somthing else? dont they normaly go uncountious first?(if i spelled that right)
all i wanted was my money back and his money as intrest ^.^
But he will come back. the dead is in illarion more something like "what the (insert mean F... word which gets changed into *smile* here), again a good shirt ruined"
Wellll, you can show up and say "Money or life". If you kill him just because you want his items you have to count with mean GM words. You can roleplay a robber, but than you have to except that your char will be a criminal.
And don't forget roleplay. never just do *clock and kill*

dont worry im not just gona go to someone random and poke him ^^ im no robber but when someone atacks me i wana make him pay for it
You could always use a #me command....but that relies on the other playing along.
Example....if under attack you could do ..
#me dodges a blow, steps in close and hits him around the head with a heavy object.
If you are lucky he might play along.
However, if the attacker didnt ues #me themself in the first place they probably wont play along with yours. So use a few #me to describe your defence and either run away or kill them.
If the attacker did use #me they will probably play along with your response. But....they might not make it easy.
But, actually, he was right.
I once got a #me like "hits you on a certain part of your body so that you swoon." Extreme example, but it happens, shows that not everyone knows this from the beginning.
more the second one. you was damn close to dead and got a second chance by the gods. without their help of the cross you would have died surely and completly.
see it as seeing the light at the end of tunnel and than getting a kick by a god who don't want you yet
#me dodges a blow, steps in close and hits him around the head with a heavy object.
gratulation. that would be forced rp. because you don't give him any chance to react.
better would be:
#me dodges his blow and try to step in close to hit his head with a heavy object.
First off that was just an example and intended to be humourous. (Thought the use of 'heavy object' would give that away!)
Agreed it could have been better worded but was not intended to be taken literally anyway. I dont think it is forced RP as it does give many options for a reaction.
#me dodges/ducks/rolls with the blow/parries/sighs with relief as the blow glances off his helmet/etc.
Forced RP would have included a 'consequence' of the blow. ie caves the skull in/knocks him unconscious/knocks the head clean off/etc.
But I think we all know what we mean anyway. Use #me's people. It should be possible to RP an attack/fight/mugging/etc using just #me and not resorting to ctrl/click at all.
every time i do rp's like grabbing or hitting someone i whisper him my strength and how good he is in fighting. i also give my dexterity when needed. but even than they don't react and do like they are stronger than everyone.
I realy hate it when people wisper me their str and crap. I realy dont give a damn about their attributes.
I go by age, and bulk.
The end.
and if they bitch about Strength lvl, then my 10 year old account with 16 strength could overpower alot of people in the game.
I suppose grabbing someone is like a skill, if you are strong and agile it would be like trying to punch someone, in a way. And some people are just born so they can wriggle out of things, or have had a lot of practise.
I've seen it when just because you're stood next to someone it's like '#me grabs the man' would work instantly, but if you stand next to someone and say '#me beats the man with his wrench' would be forced, apparently.
There should be some guidance rules about things that aren't implemented but are still in somewhat frequent use in the game. Would stop a few more arguments and stuff.
Just a sticky thread dedicated to that kind of debate with official do's and don'ts and proper etiquette of certain situations etc.
