Child characters

After creating Emily Xahep I really want to make another child character,but there are to many orphan child characters and i can't figure out what i can do to make my new character not an orphan.I have 2 ideas 1:She has parents but you just never see them 2:they sent her away to work in another town. Neither of these really seem to work.If anyone has an objection on me making another child please tell me because i know there are so many children already,but I am trying my best not to make her an orphan. :wink: Please if anyone has any ideas on my characters non orphan background that woould really help.Thanks :D

Simply make the character a serf, it is understandable that a child of 12 or 11 would leave their home during the dark ages (which is the time period of our game) in hopes of having a better life.

Hmm.. This is hard. Unless you want to take Garetts idea... then i guess you have two options:
1. Be an orphan
2. Find a person who would be your mother/father. If it is going to be an orc, then i volunteer Ko ^-^

With all the people getting married.. i wouldn't be surprised if you find a set of 'parent's'

I havent seen a child dwarf yet. And only heard of a halfling kid.

But then again, i dont realy want to see a dwarf kid ^-^

Also i'm worried about speech habits rubbing off.I started saying Hiya mommy when i see my mom, and yesterday i said your head was in the way I didn't see nothin (note the bad grammar).If I started talking like an orc saying Lori smash whenever I was mad at somebody...yeah. :D

One problem i noticed with child chars.. they seem to be too intellegent...

I'm not talking about elven children who are 100 somethings, but more like the humans who use complex words to speak.. from and 8 year old..

Also, if you want to have fun... RP a children's fight [wink @ olar]

Kid fights arent as fun as they sound. I got into two fights yesterday, one with blades, and one with fist. They were both 'adult like'

Well, if you're talking about Rhiannon, she spent her whole childhood reading books, and she's got max Intelligence. Bearing that in mind, it would be weird for her to still be a complete idiot at 13. Also, well, there are words she doesn't know... Can be pretty funny when she asks what certain ones of them mean in the middle of the tavern :D

What's the minimum age for a human anyway? i thought it was 17, so basically child chars are like playing something not implimented, like vampires!

The lowest age you can create a character with is, as I belive, 14.
This is would be a human.

There is no possibility for a player to create a younger character and play him/her.

Taking into account that this game is set in a medival environment, I think that 14 year old (humans) are considered as mature/adult in thier society.
