Memories - What happened to the old days?

Post by Astral »

I remember the days when I fist came to this land....  All was peaceful.  You could safely walk around town with no armor or protection.  The land is filled with your friends.  What has happened to these days?  I believe that many others are asking this same question.  Now I dare not to go out and around without full armor and a wand at my side.  The streets are filled with fights and arguments.  Something must be done!  So much has changed since that time, and almost all of it for the worst.  Even a cheerful drink in the Tavern cannot be had due to all this mischief.  I miss those good old days.

#me sits down by the river and gets caught up in thought.

You are, once again, speaking true words. True words that already sound in the souls of all sincere and honourable men and women of Illarion. But alas, have we not all tried to fight the brutality and mischief? And it has led nowhere, only to more brutality and disputes.
I deeply believe that the gods are not idle seeing their servants in such despair. I am sure that this time will pass, and the worst will be wiped from the surface of Illarion, never to return. Until then, we can't but stand together and help each other in those hard times. We must protect the innocent whenever we can, but we can not fight the evil on our own... right now, it is stronger than us.
For now, I am praying to Zhambra to protect us and to move the gods into action. But the people of Illarion are godless. They accept the existance of the Gods, they don't worship them. I have talked to Zhambra Himself, I have been shown how He was worshipped in the old days. And I am going to bring those ways back to Illarion. Let us worship Him as He deserves it, and let the other Gods be worshipped as they deserve it! Perhaps then, the Gods will look upon us in a more friendly way! For remember what happened when Moshran was not worshipped enough? Have you ever thought that this might be the beginning of a new Sge of Discord? We can not fight the evil with fire and steel, it will bring only more evil. But we can pray.

I too remember the old days  Those were good times when all there was to worry about was weather to have a drink at the bar or go and hunt skeletons. I agree with Emhyr fighting will do nothing for us but make it worse. All we can do is Hope and Pray that the this will pass with as little damage as possible.

@ all who wish to kill and distroy: This is not a killing ground. If you want to kill and murder take a boat to Tibia!

I don't remember these far away days, cause they haven't exist. Remeberance always keep the good sides.
I life on this iland nearly one year and I have to admit, that in the past days, there was also fighting and cruelty.
I remember killers in town like Darkwalker and Jarek, the wars against Thoer and Cube, the gang of Marlene and the sniper-gang four months ago ... and several more ...
I don't think, that the past was this gold age, you are all dreaming of.
Sure, there were many nice days, siting at a campfire, working in peace and much more ...
but the other side exists also ...

We have to live now! Not dreaming of the past! It has gone, for ever ...

May Malachin bless you!

I am thinking of before the sniper group.  I do not know how it was before I came seven months ago, but at the time I came it was peaceful.  And to me it stayed that way for a month or two.  The first real wars were the sean-san wars for me.  I think that you have to admit, right now is worse than the sean-san wars and the sniper group wars.

I remeber the first day i came into trollsbane, the wars, the snipers and senseless killings all told me that this was my new home. So many would be focused upon these tasks that none would see a small hobbit child missing.. yes that is why i chose trollsbane. The security of knowing my meals will be without a trace.

Some days when i walk this land i sigh and think back to the friends i could have had..some of who are gone now and fome some reason i miss without even knowing them.

Those were the people who changed trollsbane for the better. And i thank them

It was better before you came too.  There were no wars at that particualar time.  No need for betterment of the land.  It was fine how it was.

Ahhh sigh. yes the good old days. When i first came to Illarion it was usually peaceful, but you had evil people but they were role-playing evil...they didn't walk arouind and get in OOC arguments and then start killing...i've noticed that when i ask people why they're righting a lot of the time it was something like "He stole my shovel and i asked him to give it back and he didn't, so i killed him" When i first came you never had things like that...people didn't steal. And in my personal opinion even if somebody DOES steal from you...you should't kill them..especially if it's something as trivial as an axe or shovel or something
