Crafting
I've only been playing Illarion for a few hours and i guess you could say im stuck. I want to craft things but I have absolutely know idea how to or how long it will take.
I am the typical helpless newb so I will gladly take help from anyone
thanks! Olivia_Gales
HOw to craft... 1) Ask around in game...
2) You will need tools... and a material to work on
However this is an in-game question.. so please ask someone to help you in game.. tell them you want to be an apprentice or something...
However you USE the tool with itself.. choose something from the menu.. and then choose a picture to produce that thing...

By the way, this is Ian the halfling you should be asking. If you see Ian the golem..... yeah, wrong IanHadrian_Abela wrote:Cooking > Ian
And by the way, as a note for when you ask people ingame about beginning on a skill or occupation: You will always piss less people off if you meet them first, as opposed to walking up to Whoever-The-Hell-Happens-To-Come-Up-The-Street and just asking the question, "how do I do carpentry?" .
If someone on the street in "real" life strolled up to you and asked you the first question of something like, "how do I ride a bike?", wouldn't you be a bit annoyed, or at least confused?
Another way you could ask this without even actually meeting the other character is to RP your process of asking in more detail. You could "-hesitantly says, '...Excuse me.' ", or "-approaches the man with a polite but questioning smile." *shrug*. Whatever you can do to develop that.
Just a tip
1) I just wrote whom i rememberedGil'Dran wrote:What the crap eliron?? Put up Alica on both carpentry and smithingShe is better than eliron in carpenting
And she is my sis, so dont mess around ^_^
2) Eliron is better than her.. they have been competing for a LONG time... still have to laugh at her when i give her something she cant make
Sorry to those who i offended

Basically you should put 1 "unit" of wool in one slot for your hands (same slot that weapons, shields, other tools, etc. should go) Don't put one in each, because that still won't help. The rest of your wool should probably just go in your belt. Then just use the spinning wheel on the piece of wool that is in your hand.
Also I had a question for anyone who might be able to answer it - recently when I spun wool, a single unit would automatically transfer from belt to hand after I had spun the piece before it. But I tried another day after that, and this doesn't happen any more. Was this just a coincidental technical shift? Or is there a way one can set it up for automatic again?

Oookay!just one more question (i think)
.When you are sewing the fabric i was given the idea that i need thread a needle and cloth.Which i am pretty sure that is right but do i need scissors?Do i need to thread the needle first, and where do i have to put the items (in belt, in hand) and which i have to click first. I understand if you think these questions need to be answered in game, but if it's possible could you at least answer one or two? If not thats okay and thanks for all the help with making cloth

Try looking for people that do things people that work in the profession you want to learn do, for example if you see someone chopping wood and then sawing and carving it you can be fairly sure that you've met a carpenter.
