Illarion issues

Post by Amber »

I logged in, and the second I saw something appear on the screen, it flipped back to the desktop, and there was no more Illarion to be seen. What did I do wrong?

It's not so much a bug as a feature. It does that everytime a new character is started on that computer. It's just creating the folder for your character. Just run the program again and log in.

Thank you Donal. Was there anyway I could know, and not make a fool of myself?

I guess this is some sort of welcome ritual/joke. Everybody has to go through that... :-)

I think the only way to avoid it is to create your character's folder prior to entering ingame for the first time with him/her. But then again, you wouldn't be able to know this either anyway  .

You could... try and log in again? It's only common sense to try something more then once

Hm, let's not get personal here...

Well, right before the login screen, the client presents you with a disclaimer that it is alpha software and not everything works. Considering this information, trying things twice is not too far fetched.

On the other hand, I agree that Al'tians post was not exactly helpful. We've all started as beginners, keep that in mind.
