Quality

Post by Llama »

A few questions about quality->

1) What are the grades of quality?

2) Is qualtiy of the end product effected by the raw materials? I can only saw 'very bad' branches yet... will all the items produced be damaged?

3) Better quality items decay slower with use, but do they do more damage? or produce better quality items?

4) To increase quality of goods, does it depend on your skill? or on how much of that item you made? ie a carpenter who makes excellent shields will make excellent staffs or not?

1.Quality is an opinion, but your char couldn't know the quality unless he was skilled in that craft anyway. Its not really a necessary knowlage, you could find out IG through clicking things and listening to conversations but it would be ooc to ask for the list of them. There are even some different like torn for clothes, rusty for metal, and rotton for wood items.
2. logically it would I'm not sure though
3.yes logically, don't know, don't know
4.yes it does depend some at least on skill logically, don't know, don't know.
I hope noone ever asks me any of these questions IG, that would just be rediculous. This is all technical info, and I know my chars don't know anything about the technics of this game. Not everything that is logical is implemented. I hope none of you would answer IG as your character either.

1) What are the grades of quality?

That differs for every kind of goods. There are two attributes, quality and durability. Here is an example:

Code: Select all

    QualEn={"excellent","very good","good","","bad","very bad"};
    DuraEn={"new","used","old","rusty","nearly decayed"};
[/color]2) Is qualtiy of the end product effected by the raw materials? I can only saw 'very bad' branches yet... will all the items produced be damaged?

Currently no, in future, maybe.

3) Better quality items decay slower with use, but do they do more damage? or produce better quality items?

Currently no, in future, yes.

4) To increase quality of goods, does it depend on your skill? or on how much of that item you made? ie a carpenter who makes excellent shields will make excellent staffs or not?

It depends upon your skill and random. The harder it is to craft an item, the lower the quality will be. Shields and staffs depend on the same skill.
By the way, right board ;-) Now get ingame!
