Logging in and out have always been slightly strange to the RP; the person just appears or disappears...
Most people do their best to Rp disappearing
"#me opens a book , says ***** and disappears"
My idea is to allow the user to save an exit and entrance line...
SO when the person logs in the char says for example
#me appears in a puff of smoke or #me comes out of hiding
and when logged out with the ESC key, something like #me disappears ect...
customisable from the player's side
This also would help people with laggy connections who sometimes dissapear and reappear during periods of lag, if the message doesn't play [no esc key] then it is certain that it is the internet's fault
This may also be used to stop people logging out at bad times [being hunted down] and pretend it was just Lagged

Yes, "so you would like to buy 34 thread, that is 102 coins" "#me hands over some thread" *poof* dwarf appears ontop of threadHadrian_Abela wrote:The 'where did he go' thing i do also.. however logging in gets strange sometimes, people just appear out of nowhere
I try to logout in places where I can appear as if I have just been entering, like behind the wall at one of the gates.

It's 25 copper the night, you know?Aegohl wrote: However, most of my other characters I would log out with at the Seahorse Inn.
I mostly walk into the shadow of the library with "#me vanishes in a narrow side street"
People shouldn't log out in public places at all. Having everyone vanish into thin air magically is just as stupid. Hence I don't see any use in this proposal.
Log out where you cannot be seen. That's the best thing to do. If you want to use a nice phrase going with it, just type it.
