You cannot count the persons selling to the shop (their goods wont go to people).

That was my point, I was saying that those must have been who he counted.

Whenever I take a walk into the town, all I see is this:

People giving away the best equipment for FREE just because they can make it
Else: Selling for VERY cheap.

There is no way to get everyone in Illarion to sell at your prices, it just won't happen.

You must be very unlucky Astral, I see a lot of people selling for SMACC prices.
And Astral, of course nobody expects EVERYONE to sell at SMACC prices, that is unrealistic, but it is possible for the majority of merchants in illarion to sell for SMACC prices.

Indeed, I am very happy to see that most merchants that I've encountered still use SMACC-prices.

That's the same I notice. A great patch of merchants already uses SMACC prices. There's only a little part of merchants and customers who don't accept SMACC.
So you see, Astral, that you belong to the small number of merchants who don't support SMACC. though you can make better profit with it. You stay stubborn and so it's your own fault when you sell at low prices and don't make as much profit as SMACC merchants.

I can smith everything possible and i find that people will usually pay at or just above SMACC prices for most items, my only problem is that when i do make fair prices another person will come along and give the item for free. What is needed is strict control on free items.

So maybe YOU would care to enforce that?

I don't need to sell at your silly prices to become rich.  I can become rich just sitting back and enjoying the sunshine.  This whole thing humours me.  To see a bunch of people working their butts off trying to become rich.  Go right ahead, I don't mind.

@Damien:
When am I going to see my name OFF the list?  How many times do I have to put a message here?

This list is crap!
I will sell my stuff at the price I want, no matter what any stupid list says!
If i want to spread 100 silver all over town for free, who can keep me from doing this?
A stupid list? Definitely not!
for example: I can steal 25 GoldNuggets from a person and then I can sell them for
the price I want, 1gold per Nugget if i wanted to. Of course that is not realistic, but I
could do that and who would stop me? Your list? Or Damien?

The spirit of SMACC is not to force anybody to sell at SMACC I think. You can sell at your own prices. And when you sell for too low it's your own doing. SMACC only gives you the possibility to make a minimum of profit. If you join SMACC you'll make more profit but you needn't join. In some future there'll be only few merchants who sell for less than SMACC. This will need some time to become true but when everybody supports SMACC you make good profit. Stolen stuff isn't included in that list I think. You will make a profit at every price but why should you sell for 1g when you have the chance to sell it for 25g? That's only wasting money but if you want to do so I don't have any problem with that as long as you're not ruining my own business.

...And if you steal from somebody you most likely get yourself killed.

Yes I might get killed but thats not really often the case. And even if I got
killed who cares, the person can kill me but he cant get his Nuggets or whatever
back! By the way it was just an example...
