Well, everyone gets frustrated with the server crashing, here is my idea:
The server keeps a list on the web of who's 'currently online'. What if the people in that list were able to log into a sort of vote on the Illa website, and if everyone listed as being on the server voted to restart, a command could be sent out to the server to restart? It could only work if everyone agreed to do it, that way when there are no technical GM's around, people could still play after the server goes down.
I don't know, just a thought.

Such a system sounds nice. But there are some problems.
1.: This system will never be safe. There could be a evil person who use it, on any way we couldn't imagine now, to restart the server again and again.
2.: It the server crashes, the webside didn't notice it. So the server could be restarted, always.

I cannot restart the real server, so my phone number won't help much.
The only one who can is Shivoc.
The idea is not bad but has a maior flaw: When the server crashes, shivoc wants to examine the reasons for that crash with a debugger. So, until we have nearly no critical bugs anymore, it will remain as it is.
