Sian narrows his eye and casts a glance about, but lost Aldriaa out of sight again. He nears Callith by Arynne's body, and produces a roll of white cloth from his bag which he holds out for the elf to grab. "We have no choice but to bind the wound and hope she does not die on us on the way to town. I may be a Novice of Tanora but as a medico I am highly lacking."

Sian emits a grunt of approval in response, and nabs the bag, promptly rummaging through it.
"A mortar and pestle—some herbs—this might be a healing potion," he concludes, drawing the flask out of the bag and examining its contents in the dim light. He holds it out and over to the elf.
"Then again it could just as well be a poison against a disease," he adds with a frustrated frown.

"A risk we will have to take. I don't suppose you have any needles on you?"
Callith takes the healing potion and pours a small drop on his hands, and then examins the wound, pressing his fingers gently inside, he takes his hand out and pours some of the liquid into the wound, then the rest down Arynne's throat.

" 'Fraid I was not planning on tailoring out here. "
Sian hastily mashes the Firnis from Arynne's bags in the mortar, and sets the tool down. He slings the roll of cloth over an arm and spreads out the white textile, audibly ripping it free from the roll, and haphazardly making some bandages. He applies the mashed Firnis to the crude bandages. Then looks up to catch attention of the Guard's eyes.
"Help me here," he utters to Callith, ready to bind the wound shut.

The scene lies thus:
Arynne lays motionless at the foot of the tree, a hole gored straight through her stomach, and a long sliver of a cut along her cheekbone. Her eyes are closed, and she has no detectible signs of life...
Sian and Callith are working as quickly as they can to seal up her wound, but it goes straight through her to the ground below.
Aldriaa stands breathless, silver hair amiss, and holds a green bottle, her eyes pleading, for she knows that it will only work if Arynne still lives...And the Lady of the Forest had said that Arynne's health would return only as strong as her will to live is....

Firmly, but carefully binding the bandages around the deadly wound, Sian utters a name in an inquisitive tone, without turning to face her:
"Aldriaa?"
Sian looks up at Callith and smiles at him like a cheshire cat, before speaking again, although not to him.
"I'd use your opportunity to take a 'long walk', while the noble Guard and I are busy..."

"I'd use your opportunity to take a 'long walk', while the noble Guard and I are busy..."
"No," Aldria whispers hoarsely, "Once she is better...I'm going to tell the whole story, from the beginning...Arynne deserves the truth from me, and I am going to give it to her. After that, I beg of you to kill me, Callith, for your sword will be more merciful than the other that I face if I am found."
Aldriaa kneels by Arynne's form, waiting to see if the potion will take effect.

An elf clad in blue looks through the trees, he laughs quietly... "nobody has yet noticed me, but it is time to give some aid";
He pulls the cloak to cover his face in the darkness... he then steps through into the clearing..."does anyone need some aid??"
He looks at the incapacitated elfess, "Aldriaa, what have you done???";
He looks around... "the figure in black, where is he???"

Watching from the trees the darkly clad elf held a hand upon his wounded arm. She was sprawled upon the ground, the elf Callith and others stood about her trying to stench the wound, but it was to late, the elf had seen this ladies complexion many a time in his line of work, and he knew he was to late.
Grief took him at that moment, a dark hand enclosed about the beating in his chest, and he found he could not breath, his own wound forgotten and the blood pooling about his finger tips un-noticed. The urge to leave his sanctuarary and be at her side took him instantly. But after a moment the hand upon his heart released its grip and his emotion was replaced by another. A silent rage so deep that it was all he could feel.
Turning from the scene the elf walks away. The mixtures of emotions attacking him from all sides, with this in his mind he did not see the elfess Adriaa running back with the bottle within her hands, or see the elf Callith administer it to Arynne.................

Slowly, Arynne takes a breath, and another. Before their eyes, her wound begins to close, the wound on her cheek turning into a mere white line, barely noticeeable against her skin. Her green eyes open and look around...
"I...I'm alive?"
Arynne turns her gaze to Aldriaa, and she says simply "Why?"
Her wound continues to close, her shed blood magically rising up from the soil to flow back through her vains.
A few minutes later, Arynne sits up, no sign of her injuries left save the bloodstains on her dress and a thin white line on her cheek.

Aldriaa takes a deep breath, and suddenly embraces her cousin.
"I want to tell you the truth, and then I want you to turn away, for if Callith won't take my life, then I shall take my own."
She lets go of Arynne and speaks, swifty pulling the mysterious man's arrow from the tree and breaking it in half.
"Some time ago, I met a mysterious man outside of town. He told me that he knew what it was I was seeking...revenge...I...he knew a lot about me, yet I had never met him. He retold the story of the drow attack to me, and then told me that the true traitor still lived. When he named you, Arynne, I was sure it had to be false. But...he proved to me that you lived, and made a convincing argument that it had been you that had betrayed our locatio. I...Arynne, all I can say in my own defense is that I had lost my memory for almost 50 years, and I...I was confused. I have been seeking answers ever since Callith helped me remember who I was, and this man seemed to have an awful lot of answers. I...I felt sure he told the truth, until the very moment when my sword pierced your skin, and then I saw the look in your eyes, the look of the truly innocent. I am so sorry, Arynne.."
She pauses, and says, "He has very...persuasive methods, and he seeks me now with intent to make me suffer, for I betrayed him in the end by trying to save you. I will wait here only for judgement, and then I will take my life, if none of you will do it."

"Do not dare look at me for such folly," utters Sian in an unusually commanding and smoky voice. His single unscathed eye is reluctantly shut and his scarred face displays a grim frown, appearing to be hewn into stone. His grey cloak sways as he shifts weight of one leg and turns his back to the group. He peers off into the distance northwards, folding his arms before his chest.

((OK Arynne was actually at the Nightmare Quest with Dravish, but I'll pretend she wasn't I guess, for the sake of this board
Or actually, I'll just pretend that it happened after this, ok?))
Arynne turns back to Callith, no sign of her stomach wound. "Please do not hunt Aldriaa...I forgive her."
She turns, looking for the man that spoke from the shadows...

An elf clad in blue returns to the clearing, he takes a pace forward; covering his face with his hood...
Turns to Callith, "Will she live?"
Looks at the druidess, "Don't worry it will be ok..."
He looks stonly at Callith through his blue hood, "i'm sorry, i didn't think she would actually strike down her cousin; and i'm sorry for the arrows i sent your way"
He turns his attention back on the driudess
