But that aside, my tip would be to find a druid to initiate your character into druidry. That is something you could do already, despite that druidry is not implemented yet.

Cooking should work, for the biggest part, independantly from druidry. It has more to do with simple things, like getting the foodstuffs together and using the right tools and other items to cook. As I suggested under the quote above concerning druidry, best way to learn is to find a teacher in game. Experimenting to find out how it works is quite frankly a pain in the ass.
