arggghhhh!!!!! HELP!!

hey, i've just started playing and am stuck. firstly how do i cut trees down with my axe 'cos evrytime I try it always says I can't cut it down. Also how do I shear sheep cos I bought some scissors off sam but it still won't let me.... please reply.....

Ah, the long forgotten and persumed dead art of posting crap in the subject line.
I thought I never would see a gem like this again.

Where are you stuck ?

Tools need to be in the hand of your character to be used.
To cut trees you need to use (= shift + click) the axe on the tree, have your character facing the tree too.
Some sorts of trees are not chopable, select another.

Sheering a sheep, using the sheep is enough while holding the scissior in your characters hand.

The trees you can CUT with an axe are-->

Conifers.. they are the ones with soil around them

Apple trees.. surprise surprise they have apples on them....

Conifer:Any of various mostly needle-leaved or scale-leaved, chiefly evergreen, cone-bearing gymnospermous trees or shrubs such as pines, spruces, and firs.

The fir trees on the forest tile is the source of conifer wood, which should accually be "coniferous wood", since coniferous is the adjective form of the noun "conifer".
