New Graphics

Post by Anarchist »

I really think allthogh it will take a lot of work that the charecter should have a differnt appearance depending on what you are wearing this would really take the game to the next level i know this was brought up ages ago and the protest was it was too much work but i think it would really improve the game others hve done it so why not illarion?. It would just give the game a better feeling.[/b]

To put it simply: We do not get paid, too much work for too little, and there is going to be an avatar system thing to see what people look like. This is not a 3d game, we can't just change the textures.

Furthermore we only have a small team.
Everything would be possible, if we only had more good people. Currently I cannot concentrate on graphics because I do scripting, server coding, client preparation and so on.

Be patient. ;)

An avatar system? As in, you can customize the way your character appears in-game? That would be really awesome...

Or am I misunderstanding? Because that seems like an awful lot of work to implement graphically...

The amount of work (and required graphics) depends on how the graphic system of the client works. I think with the new client a lot of things will be easier to implement.

They mean that you can click on a character and see what weapons, what armour he is wearing like the one on the right handside of the screen... i think, right?
