The halfling slowly awoke, in a cell, his body badly broken. But not completely unfunctional, He had know recolection of his past but for a few hours, when humans beat him, and broke his body.
"And now they locked me up" thought the halfling
All though he didnt seem to remember his past certain skills came to him at that moment in time. One was his minor healing skills, his arm was cut not badly, four of his fingers were broken, possible one rib, His head was matted with blood, and lastly one of his emerald green eyes was now nothing but burnt tissue. The halfling didnt know what would happen if he staid there, but he knew it would be bad. He then began to look for ways out, there was only one, the window, but there were two things wrong with that one was the bars, two it was higher up than he was. So the halfling began to crawl towards the cell window, Pulling himself with his good hand and pushing with his feet, leaving blood stains as he crawled.[/i]

The halfling finally reached the wall the window was on. He then tried to stand, but a sharp pain in his side made him collapse once again. But the halfling tried again, and again until his good hand finally was able to reach one of the lower bars of the window.
"And now for the hard part" Thought the halfling
The halfling slowly began to pull himself upwards using only one hand, he nearly let go because of the pain of it all but he used the pain, to continue to pull his entire body up to the window. Sitting on the edge of the window the halfling then began to squezze his body through the bars. First his bad hand and arm, then his shoulder, then his head which burned like fire as the wounds touched the bars, but unluckly for the humans who did this the blood served as a kind of grease to help the halfling push his head all the way through. Once that part was done the halfling had only minor trouble getting the rest of his body out. And finally holding onto the bars with his good hand he dropped down to the ground, which sent a huge burst of pain into his side

The halfling easily escaped town, he seemed to know the change of the guard exactly
"I dont know how I know these things" the halfling thought "But I am glad I do"
The halfling then began to walk, each step causing him great pain, he didnt know where he was going only that was the way his feet were carrying him and he could only trust his feet. After a short while the halfling came to a graveyard, With three humans in it. Paying no attention to two of them the halfling went up to one and asked for healing potions. But the human seemed to have none
"My feet seemed to have led me in the wrong direction" thought the halfling "Oh well, any where is better than there"

Walking past the cell some minutes later Pendar nods to himself, all may not be lost yet.
Tossing his axe over his shoulder he begins following the trail of blood and broken foliage out of town. Knowing a wounded creature is never hard to track he allows himself a brief smile he may have the missing lady back by day break.

The halfling knowing that his wounds needed to be cleaned but not having anything to do it in, walked towards the sea. When he reached the beach he slowly sank into the water, the salt stinging his wounds but also cleaning them, As he lay in the sea he let the water carry him along the sea shore, past rivers, Until the halfling seemed to recognize a place from his forgotten memory.
The halfling slowly wadded towards shore, each step causing the pain in his ribs to be nearly unbearable. But as he climbed out of the water he recognized from his memory a certain set of rocks, inside was one of his many stores that he placed around the island. In it he found fresh clothes, a few weapons, some food, and most importantly healing potions. The halfling drank all of one healing potion, and poured another over his entire body. Although he knew that the potions could never cure his face, they still would fix his bones and cuts, although it would take some time for his hands to function as they once did. The halfling then changed into clean clothes, attached two daggers to his waist, at some food then lay down to sleep

Having followed the floating body until the ground along the shore line became entirely impossible and he lost sight of what he could only hopes was the corpse.Small consolation the little bastard may drown, he was no closer to finding the missing lady than when the day began. Slowly he turned to continue the nights work as he had done every night since her
disappearance pain stakeing combing every place he could possibly think of to hide a hostage. Stumbeling over lose ground he stopped with his back to a rock bone weary and tired enough to sleep were he stood. Despite having slept on snatch's for days he tried to clear his mind and think things through.
The scorpions had been a bluff he had walked every place containing scorpions many times over.
Yet he had seen sand on the halflings cloak, he had spoken of a boat that much was true as he and Sian had seen the traks abrupt end at the river bank. There was no way the hafling could have dragged the elf far...
Yet apparently he chose to come through the desert to the meeting place..
Suddenly things seemed to fall into place rolling his shoulders the young captain shoved himself from the rocks and walked off with new purpose she had to be a long the river some where...
