Setting up Shop 2 - Details on Erdrick's Shop

Post by Erdrick »

Bror, Me and Quain were thinking... Can we get one of those spiffy depot-thingies?
I have 15 Silver to cover the cost, hopefully.
I also have a problem. My skills are getting real low, I cant even make good items anymore.
I'm having trouble with getting merchandise for my beloved customers ;) and I think
That you should make the Skill-Drop System so that when you die is the only time your skills
are lessened. Thats my opinion, and I believe others would agree.
So getting back on the depot subject, I would like one... Yes! Right next to the fireplace :)
I know it is going to be a very high price for the reason that somebody doesn't clutter up the
world with depot boxes.
Also, those annoying trees must be some kind of alien species cuz even when an Illarion GM
uprooted then they appear next time I log on! What strange happenings! ;)
Theres not much else I wanna say other than work on making items that go on counters.

Erdrick

BTW i dont see anything new for us druids yet. I dont think were ever going to be cool. :(

I will think about, if depot will be sold and to which price.

Look out for the druid stuff, there is something that should earn the druids a hell of a money.

There is no skill drop by time, when you are alive and standing around.

(sarcasm)
Hehe, I like the idea to increase skill by doing nothing. I would get overnatural skills! =)
(/sarcasm)

No! I don't think this is possible. Think of real life ... do you get better in maths if you don't learn and practice? And please don't discuss about skill-drop caused by real life death!

Heehee Ive been playing Tibia non-stop. Sorry Bror ive gone over to the dark side ;)
Uh, what makes us money, onions? :)We need more spellbooks.
OK and i have seen skilldrop by just standing around.
I havent died in a while but my skills are total crap. I can hardly make shoes! <sobs>
Anyway, I will try to get back on but Tibia has more quests and challenges.
In Illarion I run around and make stuff then sell it, make stuff and sell it ;)
I would also like to announce plans for house expansion. Ill get details to you later.
List of things in shop: Gem grinder (outside house on side of building),
Depot (TBA) Smoke Oven (TBA) and a basement (under house ;))
In the basement will be only the big red Demons and we can dig up stuff.

Thats all I have to say even though half of it has no relation to this topic :)

!!! So that's where you've been!
I was thinking about asking about a basement also... Didn't someone bring up the possible "choice monsters" for a basement before and it was said that there aren't going to be monsters in people's basements?

"I havent died in a while but my skills are total crap. I can hardly make shoes! <sobs>"
I haven't seen why people are complaining so much about this, I've been on for long periods of time, it only really drops when you DO die and are dead for a while. When I didn't die my skills pretty much remained the same. Maybe skill drop is related to some ability eople skimped on in character creation?

"In Illarion I run around and make stuff then sell it, make stuff and sell it"
Build up your skills more! listen to bards (I listend to a song-duel just today :)
I haven't been using the building, but I've been buying&selling out there.
Mostly people seem to want to buy herbs. But occasionally I've sold other things, other things seem much more fun to sell ;)

*Also: Is anything going to happen with the glassblowing set up? Pottash seems kind of not worth the effort to make at this point. Would it be possible at higher level glassblowing to makg 2 or 3 bottles per 1 pottash? (Maybe it could be a different "item" in the creation, a bottle with a 3 below it, and it would take 3 sand, one pottash?
(Just threw this in here to keep from cluttering up other board sections...)

...okay...
Illarion is my favorite game, let me make everyone sure of that.
It beats Tibia in everything practically.

OK now for my reply:

LOL thats right I forgot. No monsters in my basement. ;)
Hmmm, I just have to play for a day or two to get my stuff back to a mediocre level.
BTW why the heck has noone ever seen my shop when I ask them if they have?
Maybe its because of the TREES and LITTLE VISIBILITY cuz of the large but quiet library.
I have detected a bug... maybe not a bug but a buggy thing nonetheless...
It happens when you jump off roof of Fluffy Sheep Bar or the Library.
You are walking around on the regular land and not listening to the little Illarion Quest ditty,
you're either listening to silence or some bar music. Bar music is ok though :)
oh and um...  Quain tell me when you're usually on cuz we have BUSINESS to do.
We kinda need to improve our skills, even though last time you were on there was no skill drop ;) j/k
And Bror remove those trees at ONCE they are REALLY annoying.

WHAT?!?!
WHOS TAKIN' ME AND SWORD'S SHOP!
NONONONO!
Im NOT turning my shop into a town hall!
NO WAY!
It's a shop where peeps can buy Potions and trade rares! Its a trading house!
Not a town hall!
And we dont even have a town!
We have about 6 buildings! ARG!
<huff, puff, phew...>
OK im better now.
Just stay away from the shop if you plan to bulldoze it.
Whoever thought up this evil idea should be slapped with a fish till he apoligizes.
HEY, TAKE THOSE TREES AND ADD EM TO TOWN HALL, THEY'RE FREE!

OK, now back to the topic people.

I have 45 silver saved up for add-ons for the shop.
And no, It's not being bulldozed.
You're just mad cuz you dont have one Griitash ;)
Me and Quain found a spot for Depot. Right side of shop, right below the rightmost counter.
We have been thinking about a Basement, a GOOD one with ALL the minerals.
I would like to know the cost for Dpeot box and Basement.
And if I get a Basement, its gonna be hard to bulldoze that, Griitash :P

Im getting a lot of hard times with this merchant league...
Stop asking me, please. I dont wish to join. Not now.
I dont like guilds... Starting to be problems between them.
I will release info on my "Guild" or group sometime, by next version.

hehe..If we bulldoze your shop after you have built the basement, it will be a nice swimming pool once it's filled with water.

And yeah: You will have a hard time when we start to roll

Until the map editor is finished, there will be no new buildings, that can't be build online (i.e. only buildings without roofs and no caves are possible).

I have a temporary Depot Box in my shop... Check it out, thats where I want it.
Can you take a note of what we want, then? So it'll hopefully be ready for next build?
If I had Bror's E-Mail it would help A LOT.
We figured that we want a Wine Cellar, with a section for digging....
Also, make a use for vases and glasses, I just noticed I wasted a lot of time on making them.
Well GTG, Cya.

We have 168 silver for the basement.
We are planning to have it 8x8 or 8x9, like the shop.
We also hope to have it connected to the underground passageway.

Yes! 179 Silver for our basement!
Now titled the SilverStar Shop!

Everyone is welcome to drop on by, we now are planning on getting a part-time NPC.
A question, will the NPC stand there and talk non-stop or will he react to certain sentences? If he reacts to certain sentences, that will be mucho good.
Also, will the NPC be on when I log on?
And, can we stock up the NPC with goodies, so our buyers can have a bigger selection than normal?
I hope the game gets this in-depth, as it will be AWESOME when we see the results.

I'm sorry, Bror, about being "annoying"... I miss the old days, when we used to be friends.
Please forgive me and please be a little happier, will ya?

We still have room for 1 more person to join our shop!
You must work hard to make it grow, so be ready to play a lot.
Have a nice day, everyone!

I'm going to somehow make that a POSITIVE comment, Bror, and:

180 silver (thanx a lot for the donations!!! :()
All of whatever has been said

Less time on, I'm gone most of day now...
Sorry, my beloved customers... I will miss you :(
But when I'm home I'll try to be on! YAHOO!

About the current situation, folks...
Our shop is the finest in the land!
Our staff is planning on a webpage... (YES)
We will post prices there, along with (hopefully)
PICTURES, and ultimately INFO!!
We will not only be a shop page, but a center to quench your...
Illarion-knowledge-hunger-thirst... stuff.
SO, there will be a spiffy new page...

Bror might put our site up with the "titans"
and the other's on the Link's page.
Actually the Titan's group is inactive... might wanna take that down...

Thats all for today, guys, we will post new ideas when we get some!
We also accept donations to our shop, if you know what I mean... ;)

Hmm, I talked with Francesca lately about your guild. And she had the idea to put up a "Trading Message Board". I did not yet but if you want one for your page I can make one (right the same IKONBOARD like it is here) just for trading purposes.

But: first the page and afterwards the board! (cause it must fit in colour and style)

Admins for the board will be one person of your guild (maybe you, would be best in my eyes).

The board will be placed on my webspace.

When it is ready, the link will be http://illarion-merchants.neonfire.net ... so that you can implement it in the page.
