Kidnapping
A small figure wearing a black mask, tosses a padded hook up onto the roof of the inn, and climbes silently up the rope attached to it, his padded shoes make no sound as he walks along the roof, looking for just the right window.
Upon coming to it, he waits until everybody in it is gone, going to a funeral, and sneaks inside, pulling a vial out of his cloak he dumps it into the wine, and stirs it so nothing is wrong with the color or smell. The figure then climbs out the window and up to the roof again, laying flat against it, waiting for the person who occupies the room to drink the wine
((OOC this has been pre arranged, please dont post, unless you have been in discussion))

Quinasa awoke at the sound of something close to her. It took a few moments for her to realize where she was, outside in the garden. The sadness of the days events hit her like a tidal wave and she was almost unable to move. She could hear someone near her. Who was it? Aristeaus was sleeping soundly at her side but there was someone else. With all the strength she could find and some she borrowed from fear Quin lifted her head to see the crouched figure of a woman beside the fresh grave. Her eyes were dry and puffy from crying all night and in her dreams so she couldn't see well. She heard familiar breathing patterns and looked again at the sillouette.
"I-..ra..-nia?" she choked on her own words in her dry throat.
The girl turned around. "Quinnie. I didn't want to wake you, I just came to-"
"Water," Quinasa forced as she sat up groaning.
Irania stood up and went inside looking for something to drink. In Quin's room she found a bottle of wine and brought it out. "Look, it's even your favourite!" she grinned as she handed the bottle of wine to the elfess who took it and drank it down.
"Thank you, Rae," she said to the human woman.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here for you Quinnie. I didn't know you were doing this today or I would have been with you."
"We didn't want it public," Quin stated.
"Oh, well I guess that's ok then. These things really aren't for me," she joked.
Quinasa didn't laugh. She didn't have it in her to laugh, or even to cry anymore. She felt dizzy and tired.
"I need to go back to sleep, will you visit me in the morning?"
"Sure thing Quinnie," Irania took the empty wine bottle and brought it with her as she walked away. "Get good rest sister, love ya!"
Quinasa fell backwards into the grass as an unnatural blackness came over her.

The figure at the roof, just smiled as he saw from the roof the elfess collapse on the grass, her husband sound asleep near her. He set the hook once again on the roof and slid down the rope, making less noise than the wind. He quickly flipped the rope, and the hook came falling down onto the ground without a noise. The figure coiled the rope and ran quickly and quitely to the sleeping girl. He quickly took out a ball of cloth and shoved it in her mouth, then tied another cloth around it. Wrapping the rope from the hook around her, the figure began to drag the figure across the grass. Reaching the gate he hid in the shadows along with the girl, waiting for the town guard to change
"It should happen any moment" the figure thought to himself
While he was waiting the figure tied strands of rope securly to the girls arms and legs, then wrapped one around her as well. Looking up he saw the two town guards leaving, going off duty.
"Only two minutes" thought the halfling
He picked up the rope around the elfess and drug her out the gate, her body leaving no mark on the stone walkway. The halfling kept pulling the elfess through the grassy plains, not caring if her clothing got ripped, or if she got scratched. Reaching the river, he quickly went into the rushes, and found a small boat, placing the elfess in it still drugged. Climbing in after he rowed, the boat out to the mouth of the ocean, and paddled to an excluded place far from any town. The Halfling rowed the boat up onto the shore, and dragged the elfess out of the boat, and took her to the place he had already made ready, a small tent around a tree. Tying the elfess to the tree securly, a rope attached to her neck tied just so if she wiggled she would slowly strangle herself. He then climbed back into the boat and rowed, back to the river, back to the town, and hid the boat in the rushes again so nobody could find it. He then took a pre made paper out and snuck over the town walls, and placed it on the bulletin board

Waking from his slumber the man looks to his side and see's his wife gone.
Ahh she has gone to bed
Slowling the man gets to his feet, with a smooth unhurried fashion he brushes down his cloak and steps into the inn.
Not here,, she couldnt of gone far.. she can hardly walk
Thoughts enter the mans mind as he remembers the night before and he slumps slightly against the door frame, his breath becomming more ragged.
Get hold of yourself man
Raising his head Aristeaus holds his cloak about himself and heads into the town in search of the one he found missing from his side.
Then he finds the note.....

Quinasa awoke and attempted to sit up. Her head was spinning and there was heavy resistance, she felt really weak. I can't even sit up myself, she thought as she opened her eyes. Her thoughts stopped in their tracks as her eyes darted about nervously. Seeing that she was sittign upright upon waking was disorientating, it made her want to fall forward on her face in the ground below her. Her feet weren't touching the ground, she could see all around her. She tried to move her head but a rope dug into the flesh of her neck. Her wrists were bound and tied at her sides and she was rigged expertly to the tree in a way so as to prevent herself from even breathing too deeply or risk loosening the ropes around her torso and hanging herself by the one at her neck. There was no one around, no one near her. How did I get here? Who would do this to me? she asked herself. She felt panic so thick it almost seeped from her pores. A small whimper escaped her lips. Much of her body tingled from the tightly tied ropes restricting bloodflow to her extremities. Small scrapes in her skin and clothing from being dragged over sharp bladed grass and stones made what she could feel of her body seem cold, that way blood frees itself slowly and drips down your skin. She could feel bile rising to her throat at the prospect that someone left her here to die. The coarse bark of the tree dug into her backside. I don't want to die! she thought obstinately. She could feel panic making her lightheaded and dizzy again, threatening to pull her into unconsciousness. She fought it but she was too weak. "Again, I'm so helpless," she whispered to the emptiness around her. She passed into unconsciousness once again, like so many nights and days that stretched back through the last month. How much longer could she handle the physical and mental strain, she didn't know.

The halfling rowed back onto the shore, after he dropped off the note, he arrived just in time for the girl to go back to sleep again. Saying nothing the halfling began making preperations to leave with no trace. Still wearing the mask he went about cleaning up all signs of habitation around the camp that he might have made, also cleaning up the tracks he made dragging the elven girl to the tree. He had made no fire in the night so no ashes to clean up. The only thing he left up was the small tent, that was near the girl, just enough to block most of the wind and rain so she would not die.
"A dead person gets no ransom at all" thought the halfling
Taking out a pair of large shoes, big enough for a human, he strapped them to his feet and began walking, making his steps as long as a human, which took alot of stretching, he walked deep into the woods, until he came across another river. Stepping into the river still wearing the shoes, he let the river carry him out to the ocean once again.
The halfling swam back to the boat and unstrapped the shoes, then tied a rock around them and rowed out with the boat and tossed them deep into the ocean, along with the wet clothes also tied around a rock. He then dried off, and put on a new pair of clothes, and rowed back to the shore where he left the elven girl. He then fell asleep in the boat telling himself to wake up in a few hours

"It doesnt matter, its time" the halfling thinks to himself
The halfling paddles out to sea, and then follows a completly diffrent river to about a mile and a half above TrollsBane, Then he steps out of the boat hiding it in the reeds. He then begins to walk along the rocks of the shore to the bee hives for the drop. His foot steps making no signs on the ground

The restrained elfess was blinking away sleep and looking around her nervously. She tried to collect herself and hide her emotions in case anyone was watching but she knew she wasn't having any luck. How could she hide such terror? She was feeling lonely and wondering if anyone was searching for her... or even noticed that she was missing. What did she do in life to deserve so much pain and tragedy? Who was her captor and what did he expect to gain from all this.
"I have nothing left to give," she whispered to the woods. Was this how her life was going to end?

The halfling left the humans after the failed drop, then started walking towards the desert, along the way he crossed paths with a human, but easily gave him the slip, then he went back to where he hid the boat and got in it and rowed out, to the ocean, then going out far from sight he then rowed not to the place where he left the elfess but a diffrent place where, he hid the things he just acquired. After that was done he cleared the place of all markings and rowed back to the elfess. He rowed the boat ashore, and stepped out.
Seeing the elfess was awake he didnt nod to her just went about his business in a trance like state. He went into the tent and took out a few very old pieces of bread and some water and motioned them towards the elfess
"Those idiots," the halfling thought to himself, as he was pretending to be in a trance like state "I made the instructions clear, and they didnt deliver all the items, they even gave me some of the items that didnt belong at the drop, or that I even asked for. Oh well Ill keep the items I didnt ask for anyways, call it a bonus"

Quinasa bit her lip and watched the halfling walk around. He made no attempt to acknowledge her as she studied him. She couldn't recognize him, she was sure she'd never met him before. He offered her food and she cast her eyes upon the stale bread and whimpered. Did he intend to feed her? She didn't care, she was past embarrassment, past saving her pride. She was starving. She lost so much already, she just wanted peace. He didn't even look as if he was paying attention, like he didn't give a damn. Of course he didn't, he was a terrible monster.
A monster like me, she thought. She tried to shake the thought out of her head but it stuck fast. I'm not a monster! You're the one to blame no matter what you say. No! Go to hell where you belong you monster. The words echoed in her brain, the words of a child and yet not. Maybe I do deserve this, she thought as she dissolved into tears. But I don't want to die... not here, not now...

The halfling stared up at the elven girl
"Its time for protective measures now" he thought to himself
The halfling shook his head and looked around
"Where am I?" He said out loud to himself
"What am I doing out here?"
The halfling then turned his head and seemed to just noticed the elven girl tied to the tree, He then got a very confused look on his face, although it was still hidden by a mask

"Whats going on here? Why are you tied to a tree? Why am I here? And why am I wearing this mask?" Said the halfling quickly
The halfling then took off the mask revealing a halfling of about 20, Black hair, and emerald green eyes. He then threw the mask to the ground
"Now you tell me whats going on here!" the halfling said hysterically to the evlen girl

Revlen walks on the outskits of the forest south of the desert. He looks around and finds no scorpions to be seen, he sighs and continues his treck. He walks the full outskirt of the desert, the moon high in the sky and his vission a little inhibbited by the night, after seeing no sight of any people at all he walks back to the shop wall and reads the ransome note once more, reading only one passage of it that reads...
"Or the scorpiosn will eat her and we dont want that."
Revlen contemplates the words and knows where he was searching to be in the right. He returns to the desert to continue his search. As he returns he hears something on the winds, a murrmer perhaps and continues his search, stil not really able to see in the night.

Before the elven girl could respond the halfling went suddenly rigid again, he bent down and picked up his mask, and put it back on his face. He then went back to the boat not to far away and began making another note, He seemed to pause after each new line as if listening to something
"That should help me out greatly," Thought the halfling, but no emotion showed up on his face, even though he had a mask on

Quin couldn't answer. Her words caught in her throat. She didn't even know what words to relate. Here she was, tied to a tree for the Gods know how long, and her captor suddenly turned into another person and she feared she really was lost. When she found her voice again she hesitated. You don't know? When he suddenly went rigid and put the mask back on it looked as tho' Quin was in the presence of a madman. She watched him go over to a small boat, her keen elven eyesight somewhat strained from all the stress couldn't pick up everything he was doing, but he made quite a show of whatever it was.

The halfling got finished with the note, it was much sloppier than all the others, he then picked up the paddle and began to row away, towards the river. Reaching the river he floated down it quite a ways until he came to the perfect spot. He then hid the boat in the rushes and got out, he made no tracks as he walked the long way to the town walls.
Throwing the hook up again on the walls he climbed the rope and slipped over not being noticed by the town guards at the gate. Reaching the shop using the back ways, which werent normally walked by people he looked inside and found nobody in there, he then slipped through one of the windows and pinned the note up to the board, and slipped out of town the same way he got in, going back to his boat and rowing back to the elven girl. The entire trip might have taken a few hours at the most.
Reaching the camp again he secured the boat and walked up to the tree the elven girl was tied to he then went around the other side and sat against it, pretending to be asleep but still wide awake

Quinasa was restless all through the night. Her body ached, her muscles screamed to be given room to move. She could feel her body dying, and it was a horrible feeling. The scrapes and nicks in her skin were scabbed over, her left and back sides felt raw. She always imagined she'd have hundreds of years left of her life and now the possibility of never being found and dying alone seemed like a devistating reality. She hated the halfling at that moment. He seemed like he might be reasoned with at first and with the look on his face she almost pittied him. She was beyond sadness, beyond hunger and beyond pain. All there was was anger. This is unfair! I deserve to know why I'm being held here! Aristeaus will not stand for this! Her face paled at the tought of her husband and what he must be feeling. Aristeaus... he must be in so much pain. I won't let him lose me, I won't do that to him!
"You can't keep me here!" she shouted, trying to catch the halfling's attention. "What do you hope to gain from all of this?!" She was beyond tired now, not that she could sleep even if she wasn't. She was determined to make it through this, no matter what her captor had planned.
Quinasa closed her eyes and tried to call upon her magic. She felt a tingle but nothing would come. It had been too long, and she was too sick. But magic wasn't the only way. Arist would come for her. She knew that somehow she would be saved, as long as her husband still had breath in his lungs he would search and search. He would never give up. And neither would she.

The halfling stands up slowly, his muscles sore from falling asleep next to the tree. He hadnt ment to fall asleep but it happened anyways. It didnt matter now anyways, this whole thing should be over in a few days. The halfling leaves the elven girl quickly only stopping for a quick look to make sure she is alive. He then gets in the boat and paddles back to river and back down the river to the town, where he hides the boat in the reeds and once again slips over the town walls and into the shop when nobody is around, he reads Pendars letter then quickly leaves the shop before anybody finds him there. He then hides behind a building and creates another note. He already knew where the town guard captain slept so once the note was finished he slipped it under his door, and quickly left the town, over the walls again, back to the boat and back to the elven girl, where he once again fed her some old bread and a bottle of water.

The halfling awoke suddenly, he cursed himself silently
"Fool, Shouldnt have slept for so long" he thought to himself
The halfling then stood up, although his muscles ached he didnt stretch considering it punishment for falling asleep for to long. He then went and checked on his captive. He wrinkled his nose as he got up closer to her, although that action was hidden by his mask
"She stinks, Ill have to wash her off before giving her back" thought the halfling "But Ill have to think of a way to do it without giving my hand away"
The halfling then cleaned up the camp again, going about it in a sort of trance like manner incase the elfess was awake. He cleaned up his tracks although he knew that he had staid there for to long to clean up all tracks, but he cleaned up as many as he could anyways though, just to keep up practice and to get better.
"Today is the day" the halfling thought to himself as he went about his work "Hopefully, Ill be finished with it today, free and clear but who knows, Ill have to take measures just incase this all comes back to haunt me"
The halfling, finished with the clean up, then sat down with his legs crossed and began to think of what to do if this came back to haunt him. He also kept his eyes on the elfess without appearing to, to see when she would wake up.

The halfling had been sitting there for several hours, and the elfess still hadnt awoken, her breathing was still normal, and she twitched every now and again. The halfling was starting to get bored but he forced himself to continue sitting there. To continue plotting the next step in his plan.
"This has to be the final day" thought the halfling "If it goes on much longer it will start to get dangerous"
The halfling then very methodically took out the same old bread and water that he had been feeding to the elfess and ate himself, doing it all very slow, as if being commanded to
"Have to keep up appearances, never know when she might wake up, or somebody might stumble in" Thought the halfling to himself

After sneaking in and out of town to post a note, which wasnt getting to hard, the halfling made it back to his little raft. He then paddled the route back to where he kept the elven girl. As he landed the halfling got out of the boat and looked up to the elven girl to find that she still hadnt woken up.
"Ill let her sleep for now, till after the first drop, then she will have to get up" thought the halfling "Do I bring her by boat or walk her?"
"Has to be by boat" thought the halfling "She couldnt make the walk"
The halfling then sat down and waited for the time of the first drop to approach

"Has to be by boat" thought the halfling "She couldnt make the walk"

All alone and strapped to a tree preventing her from even minimal movement, Quinasa's condition was getting worse. She was determined but the conditions she was left in made it impossible for her to keep conscious for long periods of time. She hadn't been fed in days, and only since she had been kidnapped had she been force fed meager stale bread twice. Her body was dehydrating and she was dirty. She wouldn't last much longer unattended, where was her captor? Was anyone looking for her?
