Earlier this day, I was assaulted by a guard in the most uncomfortable manner possible. Durin, the dwarf guard, first locked me in jail for no reason, then followed, pulled down his pants, and chased me around...He did the same thing in the library. A truly disgusting sight I must say.
Then there was yesterday, where the Orc Turonga was assaulted by a guard for no reason, and murdered! She was killed as she was running away from the dwarf. Her crime? Only the words she spoke. She never once went for a weapon the entire time. There are plenty of people who saw the whole thing, including myself, the halfling Rello, Turonga herself, and possibly others. Then Callith lied for him to make it seem justified, but nobody is fooled by it.
Then the day before that, I came out of the shop to the sight of a human girl cutting herself with an axe, and placing the axe onto a corpse of a recently murdered human man. This quickly struck me as odd, because no one would need to do that unless they were trying to cover something up. Oddly enough, there was Callith, who said Pendar was questioning the man at the cross. When I arrived, I recognized the man from before, who seemed a bit drunk and annoying, yes, but is that a crime? The only explinations here are either one of the guards slew him for no reason, or the girl did, and they ignored it and covered it up.
Lennier, you can say what you want about your control over guards, but you can no longer ignore this behavior, which has increased since John has left, at least three incidents in three days. Many people will be able to be witnesses to what I say.

Your Dwarf chooses when he is on or off duty. So he can kill people he has problems with as a guard, but not the get the guards in trouble.
Funny thing is he doesn't get treated like a normal townsperson when he kills off duty. Your dwarf has a got temper and is far to quick to his axe, it is one thing to be a proud dwarf or even a human and be fast to your weapon. But this dwarf is pathetic.
You guards as a whole are even more pathetic now they once were.

As fer Turonga, she has a past history of causin' trouble. She has no respect whatsoever, and she was tryin' ter pick fights. After many times of controlling me temper and backing off, and asking her nicely to reamain calm, she wouldn', so i had ter make her leave. Then later she went across river and shouted about how 'stoopid the stumpie' which means how stupid i was, and she wouldn' stop, so i marched over there ter teach her a lesson.
I don' nkow about the little girl...
But I say, you are all ungrateful. I have died many times jus' protectin' citizens like yerselves, and all you can do is complain, and accuse us of being corrupt!
It is a wonder ye' have guards to protect you! But rest assured, ill give it a better thought in the future if i ever get the proposition of joining a guard!
Tonight we decide on a new captain, so things will soon change, for the better.
We are going to lay down some new laws, and take away some old ones... put down a new system,a nd take away the old one. We want the guard to be seen as good and honest, not corrupt. We ain' corrupt, but as you see it we are.
If someone has a history of killing, and you just see us kill the murderer, then you call us the murderers, even though we were only protecting you. Forgive us if we don't let you in on every bit of information we come across. I don' think that it is necessary, however, that citizens know everything that is going on within the guard.

You've killed as many citizens as you have saved, if not more. If Cjauncey has a good conscious, he will speak here, for he witnessed what happened earlier.
As for Turonga, history means nothing, she spoke with words, not with a weapon, she didn't even touch one. There is a lack of responsibility here, you all get angry real fast, and your behavior is restricted by your job, so you find any excuses possible to justify such things.

Turonga got new weapons, I didn't want to fight you, i was making a point. Turonga's history has many incidents, and its not like i would share them all with you.

Mind the laws, and nothing bad will happen to you.
Break the laws, and you will possibly be banned for a short period or fined.
But if you will not leave, and the guards have to use force, then you are breaking many laws. This is what many people do... they will not leave when we ask them to, so we have to use force. I have only killed 6 people in all my time as a guard, and I do not like to kill, but I must if I must.
But if you'd rather us allow murderers, thieves, liars and traitors, and other criminals back on the streets then so be it. We do our job of protecting you, and we don't get as much as a thankyou from you.
You might think we are corrupt but we are not. Forgive us for not sharing ever little detail with you about our jobs.
I have died for this town many times, but it seems to be worth nothing, as none of you seem to appreciate our work.
So I leave you with this:
Please let us do our job, do not comment on it, and don't insult us... We are people just like you, and we are not corrupt. We will protect you to our deaths, but you should appreciate it, and stop making idiotic posters like this to complain to everyone about - it does noone any good.

As a citizen of Varshikar I have no real interest in this discussion and personally I have never had an isuue with yourself. But something to consider. You attacked Turonga as a Dwarf not a guard. This is fine and understood. But since you attacked inside the town and sent her to the cross inside town does this not mean you have broken the law you, as a guard, uphold?
Just something to think about.
