Werte Bewohner dieser Insel, werte Geschäftspartner, liebe Kameraden, liebe Freunde,

es tut mir Leid, dass ich mich bei vielen von euch nicht persönlich verabschieden konnte, doch war es nötig, diese Sache so lang wie möglich geheim zu halten. Ein paar mögen es bereits wissen, einige es ahnen. Ich habe, zusammen mit meiner Frau und meinem Sohn die Insel Gobaith verlassen. Nach langen Überlegungen, vielen schlaflosen Nächten und Kämpfen mit mir selbst, meine Position, die dem Wohle dieser Insel diente, aufzugeben, bin ich zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass es das Beste und Sicherste für meine Familie sein wird.
Ich bin mir auch im Klaren darüber, dass dies einige grundlegende Änderungen in der Regierungsform von Trolls Bane herbeiführen wird. Mein letzter Wille ist, nach dem ich viele lange Jahre für euch gekämpft habe, den geordneten und gesicherten Zustand, den wir im Moment genießen, nicht leichtfertig aufzugeben. Vertraut auf Lenniers Fähigkeiten für Politik und Militär. Lasst euch nicht von Chaos und Anarchie regieren, öffnet eure Grenzen nicht dem Feind!
Ich wünsche euch von ganzem Herzen Frieden und Wohlstand, dass diese Insel ein sicherer Ort für euch sei und dass ihr alle ein langes und glückliches Leben führen könnt, denn dies war immer mein Ziel, nicht Macht und Reichtum für mich selbst, wie böse Zungen über Jahre verbreitet haben.

Dear citizens of this island, dear business partners, dear comrades, dear friends,

I am awfully sorry that I can not say good bye to many of you face to face, but it was necessary to keep this affair secret as long as possible. A few may already know, others may guess. I have left Goabith together with my family very soon. After long, good deal of thought, many sleepless nights and fights with myself I came to the decision that
giving up my position, which served the safety of this island, is the best for the safety of my family. I know that this will force some basic changes in the government of Trolls Bane. My last will, after I struggled many years for you, is to conserve the controlled and safe situation we have at the moment. Don't give it up too frivolous. Trust Lenniers abilities in politics and military. Don't let chaos and anarchy rule you, don't open the borders for the enemy!
I wish you with all my heart, peace and prosperity, that this island will be a safe place for you and that you all will be able to live a long and prosperous life, because that was always my goal, and not power and richness for myself as evil tongues bruited over the years.
