Magic
Me and a friend are working on our quest to gain magical powers. However, as we do have the summoning staff, no rocks but two seems to be working. I realy doubt this many guardians are alseep!
The rock formations of KAH and HEPT worked, but we each had the other already. I had KAH and my friend had HEPT.
To get runes do we need to find some one who has gotten the runes already??

Hmm...
Byron, Magic is a gift... it is knowledge of many things. It isn't something that one can just tell someone.. you must find a teacher. Also, magic is a secretive art, that one cannot find by asking around. You must learn...
Magic does not come easy.. you must find a teacher, that is the best way.

Byron,
Just because you want to learn magic does not mean that you should. Some people just dont have the attitude for magic. There are some who should never learn magic because they are not responsible enough. They would misuse it. Untold harm can be done to the world through the misuse of such abilities. You do not understand anything about magic or where it comes from. You do not have the patience to learn and understand these things. Magic is so much more than just runes. Until you can understand this you are not ready to learn magic.

What ever. i dont CARE about you Jeremy! You are the most worthless hunk of halfling meet to fall out of another halfling EVER!
----
Also, i dont think you deserved to learn magic. Magical men are alive to help, and protect. You exsploit your powers to gain control on people.
Jeremy: Whipe and clean my shoes if you want the next rune!
Helpess stundent: Why?
Jeremy: TIS BE ONE DAY SINCE IVE TALKED TO YOU ABOUT OBEYING MY EVERY COMMAND! You shall NEBBBA Learn magic!!
- You give up to easily (1 day)
You never show you want me to LEARN magic
You never want to go get the runes
You never wanted to help me on rune offerings
Your a bad teacher, DONT TALK TO ME!

I recommend you to take your words back, Byron. They aren't justified and there is no reason for insulting Jeremy.
If you want to heal and give food to the hungry, then start figuring out what you can do with your hands. I'm able to heal without magic. And you don't need magic for baking bread either.
Though I can understand you frustration somehow, I appeal to you to calm down again and please don't blame someone else for your failing.

Magic is a secret, Byron. Or better yet it is a treasured secret that the people of this island hold very dear to them. The keepers of the knowledge assess you from the moment they meet you. They watch you an listen to you. They take measure of your person and your soul to determine if you are respectable and responsible enough to become a keeper of the sacred knowledge. Learning from a master is a great achievement, it means that the people of the isle trust you with something secret. Take a few moments to put your anger aside and read what I'm saying through unbiased eyes, I beg of you. I have not watched you long enough but what I have seen and heard of you, how you present yourself here and in other places I would refrain from teaching you anything more than healing and food creation because you have a short temper. Magic in the hands of someone with a short temper is disasterous, as many of us on the island have seen before. Take the time for more people to get to know you. Your impatience is exhausting. If you don't have the patience to wait then you do not have the patience for the knowledge. I understand that you are angry but you are going about this the wrong way. Please, see that for your own sake and the sake of learning magic. If you truly want to learn to be a monk and a healer then show it in your words and manner. My words are not meant to harm you but to help you, please take them into consideration.

Yes, we agree, there is no knowledge without sacrifice, no revelation without rumination and no tea without cream if you please.
If you wish to gain that which you don't have, you must first do that which you have not done, think that which you have dared not, go where you dreamed not and stare into the very eye of Chaos itself. Risk your soul for the greatest powers require the greatest risk and often the greatest sacrifice and then impose the greatest responsibility.
Knowledge has it's price my friend. Be not mistaken about that my friend. Knowledge always has it's price.
And my friend says a bit of cheese always helps.
