A Modest Proposal...

Post by Moskher Heszche »

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Isle, and Those Not So Gentlemanly, Dwarves, Orcs, Elves, Halflings, Lizards, Half-breeds, Trolls, and Elves Cursed to be Orcs,

It is the month of Siros, when we come out of our shells to show true love to our neighbors, and it is my proposal that we do just that. No love is greater than that which is involved in protection, and our island seems to have one small leak in it's walls that allows a horrible hate to crawl in and cause trouble.

In an act of true and continuous love, it is my intention, as well as many others, to fix this. I do not speak of the leak. I speak of the dark fluid that seeps in through the leak. That dark fluid, I and Pendar pose, is none other than Misjbar, the once-elf turned orc in a curse by the gods.

I invite all of you, in your own way, to show love for eachother by taking up your axes and chasing down this vermin, expelling him, and driving him into the sea. Those married, think of it as a gift to your husbands and wives, of whom you have protected from this very stench in this action. Those unmarried, think of it as a gift of love to the whole island.

This act of love is not limited only to the next few days of Siros, however, for next month is Ronas, the month of generosity! What is more generous to the island as a whole than the gift of safety? And what of Bras, the Month of Immolation? I think this one speaks clearly for itself. The Month of Eldas, you ask? Eldan will appreciate the wise choice you have made in hunting down Misjbar, the cursed.

And there is no better way to celebrate the great deals on swords you can find during the Month of Irmas than to use that sword to take the head of the vicious one. In the Month of Malas, the hunt shall be continued, and Malachin will find much pride in it. In the Month of Findos, we can hone our skills, and make the action of hunting Misjbar down a fine art. In Olos, we can bring home a bounteous harvast of his entrails, and come home to warmly baked bread.

In Adras, we can all have a warm toast with eachother, drinking to the day when this hunt will be finished. The raging winter will do the hunting for us, in the Month of Naras. In Chos we shall give him to Cherga as a gift.

Only in Mas, if he is still alive, shall we give him six days to rest, only to start a new year off the right way.

Your Humble Servant,
Moskher Heszche

A man playing a lute walks to the wall and reads the entire post of Moskher.

The man laughs.

- Haha, Moskher is so funny! - he says.
- I can be wrong, Dominik, but I believe that sir Heszche was serious - says a voice coming from his belt. - And I must say I am interested in the curse of this orcish-elf.

Dominik stares at the lonely dagger set in his belt and blinks.

- Hmm. Misjbar is it?
