Here some facts, Mr. Gohan.....
Some people do. And player numbers are increasing with the updates.....
When you play and get PKed it is because Powergaming is still possible, and it does not matter how many people attack you. That may change within some versions.....
The engine is totally in development, and programmed in C by only TWO programmers in their spare time.....
The equipment/magic/power/money systems are some of the things that are not even completed yet, along with other parts.....
Updates are about every month or every two, when there's a bug it's fixed within days.....
There are some beasts to kill, just go and find them, and they may kill you.....
The world is not too large, and population will come with a further developed game.....
The "excuse" is not an excuse but a fact, concerning that only TWO programmers do the work in their spare time, and there is a lack of graphics ( and graphic artists ) and stuff.....
Really.....Illarion WILL become better.........
To give you some information ( you should read the boards more closely ) several GMs have been put to work, and a story team has been formed. I guess there may be needed a graphic artists and sound artists team too, but until now there are FEW people working on it. There are some free jobs, and none is payed so they stay free until someone joins in to help out.
There are some reasons why the latest update did not come as quick as normal, some relevant people for all the work had some vacations, and they had some tests i guess.
If you want to look at some other free rpgs or such in development state, look at dawn (no updates in the last half year, beta dated to come out in THIS spring ), Era Online ( gone down the drain and only runs on shards, updates needed about half a year each ) and on...
Come on and learn some patience....
so stop complaining, and start to help if you can.
