OOh goodie. Since gannon runs against cliu, I will drop out. I didn't want to run a serious race, just wanted to give cliu some easy competition.

And since i dropped out, though i like gannon very much, I want to give Cliu a fighting chance.

1 Vote for Cliu please.

Gannon stands at the wall at length reading then begins to write.

As for a " Popularity contest " That is not true at all. The votes I have gotten thusfar are from friends who have either known me personally or have seen my work.

As for those who don't know me I do not wish to be a man of politics. It isnt the way I work. But the reason I wish to get this position is because I think I can be of better use to the people of all nations.

I have lived on this island for a long time now and seen many things. One is there is always some sort of conflict among people. It can be helped but it can never be prevented.

As for what I can do I don't know. That is for all of you to decide. The reason I have even THOUGHT of running for this position is because I have heard much talk about the Triumvirate not doing anything in the foreground to help. Though I know this not to be true in all respects I would like to change this image. While you might see it as there duty to better the town it is not just there duty it is yours.

This is your town. You must help them do what needs be done or nothing will ever be accomplished. I have seen far to many times people who sit and talk how bad goverment is and do nothing to change it. I would like to have the chance to change things.

I am not going to sit here and write you a list of promises of what I will do.

That would be foolish, because I do not know the challenges that lay before us. But I can only hope that even if I am not voted into the council that Cliu can help realize these ideals. For the ones who do know me you know me mostly as a fighter. That is because I am normally a man of action. I do not like sitting and waiting for things to fold out. In my opinion one must go out and make things happen to bend the will of things.

I would like anyone to post there concerns and I will adress them the best way I can.

The orcs have been brought up. Well what do YOU think should be done? Ban them from town causing them to become angered? ( On a side note much of this has been mentioned but I am repeating it for the sake of making a point. ) Or should we allow them to come live with us as citizens. Guess what. If the Triumvirate decides FOR you then you will never be happy with the decision! Therefore you must help the council decide your OWN fates. You want something to be done? Help them do it. This are my opinions. You can vote for Cliu. That is YOUR decision. I can only hope he will be a man of action rather than someone who allows the town to crumble from waiting.

I thank you for your patience if you have read through all of this.

I hope I have adressed your concerns and if not feel free to send me a dove or adress them here.

Good luck to you Cliu.

Signed simply,
Gannon

I agree mostly with Gannon. The only difference I can infer is the point of being a "man of action". I believe that this ideology would work perfectly fine...if everyone used it. This is not the case however. Forces not present are often always in effect whether it be mortal or godly. I feel that if one were to take immediate actions on matters it could create quite a stir. Without looking at all the sides one cannot conclude a valid reason. I am not saying Gannon is a "illogical" man, but rather it is my belief that one cannot obtain the correct knowledge by acting first before many things unfold. I also feel that you cannot dwell on things too long. This would create a great restlessness between factions and stratums.

There is a balance for everything, but sometime these balances take time to play themselves out.

I will bring forth any facades either.

Best of Luck to you too, Gannon.

Writes in reply to Cliu.

See I should have put more detail in to how I work.

While it is true I say I am a man of action. ( Which I am ) I am not so foolish as to rush into a potentialy dangerous situation completely lost to the facts.

In the short times I have met you Cliu ( All of which I enjoyed talking with you ) You have shown me a deep man with many ideals of life. I would not be sad to loose to you. What I only wish is the Triumvirate to not work in the background anymore.

It seems to me to accomplish great things the mass of citizens ( Or at least as many as possible ) Would contribute in there own ways to the greater good. Even if it is simple things as just taking part in votes to decide how things should be done.

Do you not agree it is time that things change for the better in the town? ( Foolish question with an obvious answer of course. )

The only reason I post my thoughts on here is to show I am not entirely the old warrior I once was. I am no longer able to be at the front anymore. Therefore I would like to contribute in the ways I can.

Thank you for the your writings Cliu we should meet at some point to discuss some issues.

Best of luck,

Gannon

It would be a pleasure...

I agree with him, but my last words would be this:

I cannot ensure an entire completion of all your wishes. This new system is different, I will try. Sometimes thing cannot happen as wished though.

Yes it is different. But hopefully change is a good thing. Only time will tell.

Though I do agree with Cliu. Just because you ask for something doesnt mean you will get it. Things do have to be discussed and voted on. That is the way of things. But making well thought out requests and showing how it will improve things is always a good idea. I would listen to any well thought idea and even if I didnt completely like it myself I would be more than happy to see what others think.

Well I think we have both said what we can for the time being.

( I have at any rate. Cliu feel free to stir up some friendly banter. )

So I at least will wait for any questions. Dont expect straight answers because it could be lieing to you. For I can not tell the future or how things will turn out. Only how I would like them to.

Best wishes,

Gannon

Perhaps if both candidates were to attend a meeting, where they describe their opinions and intention, a debate, if you will.

It would be far more enjoyable, and your citizens would be able to ask questions of you personally.

Of course, my idea is probably worth little weight, not being a citizen of Troll's Bane and all.

Yours,

I think it is a wonderfull idea. I personally want to know too, what our candidates would change if they become elected.

Maybe we can set a public meeting within the next days around the market place or taverne?

Please contact me or write down here, when it is possible. We could also set 2 seperate public meetings, if the candidates do not find a common date.

If possible I would request it be the 8th hour of the evening. Due to some pressing matters I must attend to the tenth hour would be pushing things. Even the 9th hour would be better if possible.

I thank you, and I also look foreward to this.

Signed,
Gannon.

The debate with our candidates was very interesting. Bud sad, there were more other prople than citizens of our town.

But okay, Now i want to remind you on the election. All free registered citizens of Troll`s Bane have the right to chose between Gannon and Cliu Beothach. Both seem to be motivated and want to include their new ideas in the leadership of the town.

All, who are not justified, they can announce their here:

Cain Freemont writes a quickly, but elegantly written letter and places it with the rest of the votes and such.

"I do not know where I still stand with this town and its government. In fact, I still have little clue as to my citizenship status. Regardless of whether or not I am an offically documented citizen, I feel that my vote should count, due to the fact that I have lived here longer than the vast majority of people I see participating in this electoral process. I need not hear any candidates views to know that Gannon is by far the most capable man for the task. He is a fair man who knows what the people want; and more importantly, need. Additionally, he is the furthest man from the path of corruption that I know still lives on this island, unlike many government officials of the past.

Those of you who know anything of my life know that I do not support something or someone without great understanding of the person or thing in question. Those of you who know me on any personal level also know that I stand for the people and would never support a person who does not. If you will allow my vote to count, due to my prior citizenship and current knowledge of the many citizens in this town beyond what my fellow citizens know, then I would like to cast a vote for Gannon.

Yours respectfully,
Cain Sebastian Freemont

I hereby resign my candidacy.

My reasons are simple. It is clear the majority wish Gannon to become the newest council member. Also, the majority of the viewers during the debate could not vote...it seems so few were motivated. I came to the conclusion that for the next few days the election would continue as so. Rather then postpone the inevitable I shall give the title to Gannon.

Thank you
