hi all,
i just created a character and noticed that i cannot put a bag in the inventory...the location doesnt display a red square if you hoover there with the mouse also;
(is this the correct board or should that be in the technical one?)

Oh, that's no bug. You cannot put a bag in your inventory because your inventory is a BELT. A bag does not fit there. You must put the backpack into the second box from above on thge right side at the inventory figure.
(show inventory-"link" if you have your skills displayed)
That will do it.

Reinstall.
If it doesnt works then, you should tell uns presice datas of your PC like the Hardware and Stuff.

i did play around a bit, like removing prefenrence-folder and the like; also replaced the client-files..."reinstalled" (meaning re-unzipped 
) also
could be a also server-side issue, as my other character doesnt have this problem...
i am using win2000 on a decent machine with no fancy hardware...

I don't think this problem needs a reinstall or anything. It is probably just a misunderstanding. Here some details on the bags:
every container fits only on the backpack position of the player (2nd on the right side). Just drag and drop it there. To open it, right click on it. One of the menus on the lower screen will pop up, and shows you everything in the container (probably nothing). you can now drag and drop things in, that y<ou have on your body, or that are lying NEXT to you (i.e. not more than ONE space away). There will be no red rectangle around the box to put it in, just release the mouse button in the open container. Containers fit into other containers too. just drag and drop them there and open them with a right click. to go to the "above" container click at the arrow up.
