CHAPTER ONE: ORTEGA
The messenger ran down the street. "Ortega has a new baby boy!" He gasped.
Everyone in Aliahan greeted the newborn with open arms.
This is the start of the legend... of Erdrick.
One fateful night, the Demon Lord came to bring destruction to the now peaceful world. Many knew of his name. Although noone spoke it, he was Evil King Baramos. Knowing the world was at stake, the King of Aliahan called Ortega to his throne room.
"Oh, great Ortega, We have word of thy quest. You must defeat Baramos before it is too late. You must set out by dawn tomorrow. Say your goodbyes and may the gods light your way. You are dismissed..."
The few townspeople that heard of Ortega's quest told the town blacksmith of his journey.
By midnight, there was a knock at the door.
"We have come to say goodbye to Ortega..." the trio said.
As they walked in they saw Ortega sitting in a chair, depressed.
"We have brought this to you, Ortega, to remind you of us and to aid you in your travels."
They set down a golden helmet on the table. It had demon horns on it and it was sized perfectly for the hero. It was undoubtedly the most powerful peice of equipment in the world.
So, as Ortega set walked out of town before all was awake, he took one last look at his child's window...then walked out into the fields.
Over bridges, through tall towers, into dark dungeons... he fought many monsters.
He walked into one cave, however... He had to face a giant blue demon, one of the Demon Lord's apprentices.
He dragged himself out of the cave, mortally wounded, and crawled into the nearest town.
Here he was nursed back to health by the townspeople. To show his thanks, he gave them him his helmet he was given by his beloved friends.
He set out once more, became a spellcaster and learned many frightful spells.
His journey stopped at a massive volcana. The Giana Pit.
Here he met his most worthy adversary, the Giana Dragon.
Many said he fought to a bitter end. Some say he fell into the maw of a volcano.
As the king heard word of this tragedy, he pronounced Ortega to be dead.
As he pondered about how the carnage would end, he glanced over at the little boy.
He looked very sad... with his spiky hair drooping down and holding his mother's hand.
Then the boy looked up and saw a light. Suddenly he became aware of his purpose in life.
To defeat the Demon Lord Baramos and to avenge his father's demise!

Story of Erdrick
CHAPTER TWO: A QUEST BEGINS
Erdrick was now on his 16th birthday.
"Time to wake up, dear! You must go out and see the king!"
So, as his mother led him to the towering castle, he stopped.
"Are you all right? You must have the king give you his blessings!" His mother told him.
The castle door opened.
As he walked through the dim-lit hallway, he noticed the soldiers bowed when he walked by.
Erdrick had trained ever since he was 7 with a Copper Sword, which was heavy and built muscles.
This training made him the best sword fighter in Aliahan. Nobody could beat him in a match.
Erdrick walked up the stairs to the throneroom, and was greeted with warm smiles.
"Brave Son of Ortega! You wish to venture out in your father's footsteps? Fine I give you my blessings! You must assemble a party of warriors to assist you, to make sure that you dont have the same fate that befell Ortega. Take these weapons and set out. Good luck, and may the gods light your way!"
The warriors that traveled with him were
Iris, a childhood friend that knew powerful healing magic,
Ryuu,a fighter who strictly used iron-knuckle type weapons and was very fast, and
Rune, a mischevous boy at 17 who had unmatched survival skills.
These warriors completed many tasks and obtained a boat, which they used to travel all over the world. They traveled to a faraway land called Zipangu. This was a town of natives which were tormented by Orochi, a 5-headed dragon which demanded sacrifice or it would burn the town to ashes.
They went to Orochi's lair and pummelled him mercilessly. One of his heads was severed in the process... the Orochi Blade was inside of it, a metal that was very strong.
This rock could only be found in the cave, and the head must have swallowed a rock and it digested a bit until it was sharp.
They chased it back to the town where they killed it off. This is where Rune was injured very badly.
No healing spell would work on him. The only way to save him was to make him a Sage, which was the ultimate vocation. Then he would have the power to cure himself.
This required a sacred ritual which was found in the secret Book of Satori.
After aquiring this book they saved his life and nw had a powerful fighter to fight Baramos.
Now was the quest to find Baramos...

Story of Erdrick
Ok, now the good part. I was trying to summarize the last chapter
CHAPTER 3: GONDO MOUNTAINS
After many months of searching, the brave Erdrick found a strange town in the middle of the sea. There he settled down and listened to the stories of the villagers:
"Deep in the Gondo Mtns., there is rumored to be a long cave that leads to a strange castle."
"I belive the world is round! I look at the stars, and it not THEM moving, its us!"
"If you posess the Gaia Sword, you can tame the volcano!"
"I belive in a power, Rubiss. She is the god who can shape new worlds..."
Well, the Gaia Sword sparked Erdrick's interest. He had actually found it in a prison a long time ago, back when he started the quest.
He had wielded that sword for a long time and was very attached to it.
So, this was his next destination, the Gondo Mountains!
He sailed around the peak of Aliahan and found a giant volcano.
This was the Gondo Volcano, the tallest active volcano on the planet.
Erdrick scaled the peak, injuring himself every time he slipped.
At last he reached the top, and stared down into the maw of the crater.
As he peered down into the hole, he realized the truth behind the villager's sayings.
"I must... sacrifice the sword... to settle the volcano", he muttered sadly.
He unsheathed the sword from his belt, and gazed into the blood-red ruby in the center.
He gave the sword a last look... and tossed it into the volcano.
SUDDENLY, something strange happened! The sword stopped in midair, its hilt straight up.
Then it plunged down into the lava, going faster than anything ever seen. The volcano shook, and something unexpected happened! The volcano erupted!
Lava spewed from its mouth, trailing down the sides into the nearby river.
Iris quickly casted Levitate, to put them above the lava, out of danger.
As they watched in shock, the lava hardened on the river, making it so they could walk across easily.
When the flow stopped and they knew the danger was gone, they tiptoed across the river.
Before them was a cave, leading down into darkness.
Rune casted Radiant, which illuminated the pitch-black abyss.
As they walked through the spooky hallways, they saw a torch lit in the distant tunnel.
Approaching nonchalantly, they stepped back in horror as they saw... the the Lich!
With rags around his body, a crown on his head and eyes glowing brightly, the skeleton shook and horrifying rattle bounced off the cavern walls. Erdrick instantly reached for his sword... and realized he threw it into the volcano! Rune tossed him the Orochi Sword, and Erdrick hacked away at the ugly monster. At last the fight stopped, both locked in a stalemate.
The lich speaked slowly and deep...
"Beware the Evil Lord! He is but a follower..."
With this the Lich started to glow and a Portal opened beneath him, sucking him in, away from the hero and his friends.
Behind the Lich was a intricately carved Whip, which was handed to Rune, for his lost Orochi Sword, and an armor piece which belonged to Ortega, the Bladed armor!
The four travelers found the exit of the cave and stepped out.
In the distance was a castle, with an eerie force surrounding it. Slowly the heroes walked toward it, not knowing the dangers that lied within.
