This game hmmm....

Post by ZeroPain »

This game strikingly reminds me alot of wurm online http://www.wurmonline.com (its down now server hd melted will be back this thursday) But by what i have heard on this forum they seem very simular.

(note: im NOT accusing illarion of ripping wurm off i just want to see if any one plays both since they seem so simular)
A ScreenShot.

First off all I think you have a typo. You do mean you are NOT accusing Illarion right? Second trust me wurm looks nothing like Illarion. For one Illarion is a pure 2d game. Its just given a 3d perspective. Game play is like no other game I assure you.

If you plan on playing I suggest you get a better name than Zero pain for the boards or the game haha.

Good luck to ya and you may wanna edit your sentence fast ;)

Edit, ps. I dont know how I beat you Fooser but I did hahaha.

@ Moathia:

What are you trying to say? Those are the old graphics... 8)

Edit:

Anyway, before he thinks we are just making fun of him, I don't think he meant just similar looking graphics.
But this wurm is looking quiet professional to me (although they could have just used a professional 3D- engine...) so there isn't really a possibility to compare them as long as it is down.

That screen of Wurm makes me want to play battlefield ... but then every time I go on that it's more of a kiddies chatroom about what people's mothers get up to :?

Anywho, nice avatar, Moathia.

So why did you post a screenshot? Also it's not obvious. You never stated it was gameplay. You just said they seem very similar, also 90% of online rpg's have similar gameplay, as they almost all use the arrow keys to move around, and the mouse to select things.

Ah, also Moathia did you know not only do 90% of all RPGs have similar gameplay, but 46.5% of all statistics are made up on the fly. You might want to check yours

Actualy I did know that, and also, it's technically a way to visualise the game play which is similar to a large number of online rpg's, and to be honest it sounds about right, as I've only ever encountered one online game that doesn't have similar gameplay. MU online you right click to move around.

Miraci Ruhn...I think you'll find that 87 per cent of the time, 80 per cent of subtlety, humour and irony is completely lost on 82 per cent of the people on this board.

It's best just to start arguments about polotics..they always work really really well. 96 per cent of the time.

95% of me actually did get the joke, as 100% of me has heard it a billion times before, from about 20% of the people I have met. However as only 10% of me found it funny so I decided not to reply to it humourously, and instead answered seriously.

Yeah, we have trees too.

Seriously, play the game, then tell us if it's similar. That is unless someone here has played that game and can tell you. If not, laugh at unfortunate incidences and try to get this thread locked.

What he meant was that just like Illarion it hs no skill points and character levels, as I read on mmorpg.org. And I honestly don't think 90 per cent of online rpgs are like that...
But from what I've seen there are also differences, not only technical wise.

Hmm both sides of the argument are worng due to both sides have not played both games. Can we call this a stalemate and encourage this person to play the game?

Me and my daft ideas.
