hmm..i hope your board name isnt your Character name..if memory serves me right "Sellus Gravus" is the name of a person in The Elders Scrolls 3:Marrowwind. Hmm..i think the guy in the very begining that starts the procedure of creating your character...well anyways! WELCOME! To our humble board...when and if your accepted ill be sure to welcome you to the game!

Remember to capitalize. Honestly I do not like it but, the gm's are very lenient in my opinion. I too recognize that name, and both parts come from roman names. I know there are a few people with roman like names, this has some good information on them. I am not telling you to copy them, but to get some ideas for a more origional name if you choose to make another.

Need your help now folks. Are both wellknown names?
I don't know them but if they are i can't accept them. Otherwise we have to change them anyhow.

Is it THAT hard to be original and make up your own name without basing it on something of a character already created in the outside world? Hundreds of us here have done it. Give it a try.

THOSE are bad names. Sellus Gravus sounds OK for me, doesn't sound like D@rkKilla0815 or D3m0n5laya!

In the past haven't names derived from Roman been rejected? Granted, I think the fellow was trying some fairly well known emperor's name, but still...

Anyway, it's not like we'll have lots of expectations for the character's behaviour, as said character from Morrowind wasn't exactly memorable or in possession of lots of interesting personality quirks.

Wasn't there a Dominikus Alleradius or something? I remember he was fairly popular, he left a short time after I started playing, and we had the account system then. :?

Don't take names from books, films or computer games, create your own ones. If you take existing names, other people will expect that you act exactly like the person whose name you have. If you don't, the roleplay will be disturbed.
If I stay by the name rules I have to say no.
And what about all the *Frodo Beutlins*, *Samweis Gamdschies* and *Clark Kents* I already rejected? I can't accept your name if I'm fair to all those.
Is it so hard for you to tell me another charname?

Ah, it was easy, just made a new char, since I knew he was at the beginning of the game.

I hope when Oblivion comes out it will be more than an expanded map with improved gfx but actually have random missions. I find it annoying that if you kill a certain person it ruins the game, and almost every tomb is related to a guild/cult etc. mission.

Who made up this rule? I mean, If I saw a frodo baggins in game I wouldn't mind because it is a good rp name unlike "Terminator". As long as they are a good roleplayer and have a decent name I dont care.

the point is, it is extremely easy to come up with a good name. I can probably think up ten in a minute. If its totally impossible for someone to find a creative, and original name, then perhaps that someone lacks the intelligence necessary for this game.

By the way, welcome to our humble community, Sellus. (Please take no offense to the whole lacking intelligence thing; it wasn't aimed at you, in fact, I like you better than most newcomers.) I think that you'll find roleplaying with us to be quite fun... when you can find us.
