*an elven male in a golden cloak and a face plate walks in and sits down with his back to the wall and writes a note*
i was chasing him as usual today when someone told me to stop attacking him and i did and he persisted for a few seconds longer and just stopped. after that he wasn't such a bad guy. i stood next to him talked with him on occasion and even went about my business of mining. I realized that though he is agrivating sometimes i personally have never seen him do anything truely evil. I know it sounds odd and believe me i never thought i'd be saying this, but i want to give him another chance. Wanderer do not think i will let my guard down to you ever, but the next time i see you i will not just instinctively attack you. If i see you doing what i considder evil i will kill you or if i am told by my superiors otherwise which is a definate possability. I do emplore them to give him a chance. One last thing do not think i am a fool like someone i knew and i will not defend him or sell him supplies.
*the elven man posts his note up on the board and gives it one last look*
i wonder what will happpen as a result of this. i hope everyone takes it in the spirit in which it was meant.
*the man sighs and tarries at the board a while before slowly walking out*
Wanderer - maybe.......just maybe not so bad

Wanderer ... ah, I know this man. He is young and angry, man people dislike him, I think. But people chat much, he never offended me. I know him as some strange, but not evil person. Why shouldn't I sell him some potions?

*the man in the golden cloak walks up to his earlier post and scribbles i was wrong over it and starts to write another one*
Today i was helping a you man new to our world as i often do and wanderer walked up and laughed and shot him with two throwing stars killing him. I gave you one chance and you blew it wanderer. i despise you and do not think that you should be allowed to roam free. I would gladly like to see your demise and i would be even happier to be the one to cause it. Your offenses do not amuse me and will not go unpunnished.
*the man growls as he walks out disgusted*

Damien stands near the Boards, reading notices, mumbling to himself.
"Hmmm. Perhaps the order should collect for a prison mine, where captives have to work for the public to buy themselves out. Perhaps there can be a kind of NPC who buys gems and gold from them, and ore and coal, so they can work until they have reached the amount of money that was set as a punishment. When they pay this amount of money in silver bars, they can be let out.
So there may be needed two NPCs for such, a buyer and a seller - or is it possible both in one ?
Such money could be used to pay the NPCs working there, and the rest to support public buildings, like town walls, or a canalisation system.
Perhaps there has to be a teleporter system, that works when one uses a special one-way key for it. This key could be sold by the NPC, for a price of perhaps 50 or 100 Silver bars. All prisoners should have a shovel. Perhaps nothing else. They should be able to buy food from the NPC, i suppose bread and water..."

Shovel only gets raw material damien. Give them a hammer too, the basics. I dont think 50 or 100 bars is reasonable.. maybe for wanderer after a killing spree..
I think it should start at 2 silver bars.. even newbies could do that. then each time you go back it doubles.

Damien thinks a second.
"With a hammer, they could make weapons, so no hammer (only if they loose their stuff when going to prison). And there should be a cross in the mine too. And if they can sell the basic stuff, like ore and coal, and raw gems, thats enough. This will be a mine, not a workplace. When you collect one ore, you could sell it for about a half gold worth, nuggets for four, raw gems for two or likewise. A mine is no production place, only a digging place - so it will last a bit until they make their silver. That needs lower punishment fees, indeed. And without a hammer, and with the Mine merchants not buying crafted stuff, they are no master blacksmiths after the prison. Would be annoying, too many master blacksmiths, all ex-prisoners. Would throw a bad light on all blacksmiths.
And, they shall stay in the mine for a while. Perhaps with the amount of money depending on their crimes.
Perhaps the produced raw materials can be bought outside the mine, costing a bit more than the cheap buy-from-prisoners-price in the mine. That could make a nice profit for the mine, four gold for raw gems, six or eight for nuggets, and one for every coal or ore."

Hehehe. Good idea, I won't mind being trapped in a cave with others, then they couldn't run from me. My magic is high enough so i can replensih my magic infinitely with the food making spell. I will make sure the other prisoners never have time to mine, unless they pay my way first. Actually i would stay in the cave just for fun and make them mine for me so i become rich!!
If you make a prison i will Make sure i do something to warrant going to jail. You think I'm bad now, just wait and see what i can do. Also, who is strong enough to put me in a prison?

Damien grins and writes back:
"Great, so you make just a better punishment for all criminals. Hmm every prison may have a badguy or more in it
But if you drop your soap in the showers, be sure that no ogre stands in your back. "
Damien puts up his grey cloak, and walks out.
OOC: Gee i love these smilies... :cheesy:
