Map dosen't save

The map for a new character of mine never saves. Everything on it is black, as if i've never been there, whenever i log on.

In your char folder do you have any of these:

map.dat0
map.dat1
map.dat2
map.dat-1
map.dat-2
map.dat-3

Or anything else?

Try copying it and renaming the new ones till you have a list like I put, or try deleting the file you have. I remember I had the same problem and I fixed it like this somehow, though I may just have copied files from another char folder.

Actually it seems to be working now, it saved from the last time i was on now anyway. I didn't even do anything to it. But thanks for the help.
