Hinrichtung von / Execution of Nikargor Fyrstyn

Post by Lennier »

---------------------------

In the case of the prisoned halfling Nikargor Fyrstyn we decided the following:

The halfling is guiltily. He instigated against Caitlin Fergus to murder her. Furthermore he was the leader, who planned and executed this insidious ambush. He searched for his accomplices and paid them. For one he used dark magic to get him.

For these acts the Triumvirate - the town council of Troll`s Bane - decided, that Nikargor Fyrstyn must be punished with death.

His execution will be on the 6. day of this week around the 8. hour in the evening in front of the town gates ((Saturday 20:00 GMT+1)).

Brendan reads the post once rather quickly and is shocked by the turn of events. He reads the post carefully again and raises his brow, upon noticing that it is a halfling to be put to death.

Dear Lennier,

Has the Triumvirate taken to public executions now? I understand that the people of Troll's Bane held Caitlin in very high esteem, but if I am to recall, this is the first instance of public execution on the island.

Have we become an island of degenerates? On an island where Elaralith was redeemed time and time again for her crimes against Silverbrand, do we simply kill a halfling before attempting to change him? Perhaps some form of magic could be employed by the elves, to change his mind?

The Triumvirate is acting unilaterally, and is prepared to spill the blood of somebody, whom is undoubtedly evil. By killing this person in equal cold blood, you're going to invoke the spirits that we fear so much. Spirits and creatures far worse than this Nikargor.

That is nonsense!

The Triumvirate is the town concil of Troll`s Bane. We are the goverment of this town and her citizens!

And we decide what happens with our prisioners who attacked us!

Moathia, each of those people you mentioned were killed during an act of war, moreover, an act of war with Northerot. This Nikargor is in prison right now, waiting for the guards to sharpen their axes and behead him.

I am against this act, killing the halfling. Although, if you change your stance, from democratic-like, to more dictator like, with which I would not have a problem, be my guest. But unless you do such a thing, I strongly suggest you listen to your citizens.

Well Lysu,
this halfing was the key figure in the plot against Caitlin, he was the one who planned to kill her. So you think we should let him free? Well, I never thought that anyone likes to have criminals in their town and besides, where would they turn to when Troll's Bane bans them? Don't you think they would go to the north? To Varshikar? Do you want criminals there? I do not care as long as they are not in Trolls Bane to threaten the citizens of the Triumvirat.

That can only lead to one thing... and this will be done on the day after tomorrow. Or do you miss Nerevar?

Lennier, do you claim to have the right to decide who lives and who dies? Killing the Halfling would only make you as bad as he is!

I think that Caitlin herself should comment on this matter before any judgement it made.

That's right, Caitlin is alive. Considering the fact that she lives again, shouldn't a less severe punishment be forced upon our fellow halfling, Lennier?

Brendan:

I'm wondering however, does this truely make his crime less severe? if whats said about him is correct said halfing didn't set out with the intention of killing this woman so that she would live again. his plan was intended to make sure she never came back. thusly should the good graces of the god's and the prayers of her friends be used to Advocate lesser punishment. in all fairness he did kill her and regardless of wheather or not unatural death be sustainable in our lands. that doesn't make murder any less then what it is.

However i do agree miss Caitlin should voice her own opinion on the matter.

---------------

The execution is shifted!

Nikargor and Johann Endan fled during the last night.
We warned for them! The Halbling Nikargor has power about dark magic.

Furthermore I personally will set up a head money on both. The one, who can kill or catch one of them, gets 250 potions of his own wish (value of up to 20 golden ignots).

Some days ago Johann Endan has killed himself after the capturing of John.

Nikagor has been hunted down by myself and I executed him some hours later.

I thank all that helped me to free John and get Nikagor caught.

---
